Solo travel - stayed for 5 nights. Super quiet street despite the area being highly residential with Thai neighbors around. Only 4 ground floor rooms in total. I got a huge room with a single bed and another daybed to lounge around. Extremely clean room, fresh towels provided when needed. Full size shampoo and shower gel bottles. Good ventilation, bright lighting and mirror in the bathroom. Hot water and aircon worked perfectly. Able to leave windows open (insect screens installed) and enjoy the fresh air and cooler weather at this time of the year. Hair dryer, kettle, table fan, water bottles and all the little amenities provided. Another mirror in the bedroom plus desk and chair to do work. Wifi worked great. Hosts Paul and Harry keep the common areas clean and pest free. Can walk around barefoot. Full size common fridge for residents to use. Hosts are very welcoming and always willing to share food at their breakfast nook. Tables and chairs under the porch - perfect to enjoy the fresh fruits bought from the fruit market. Had great conversations with the hosts about Thai customs and life in Thailand. Gave me lots of tips on where to eat, massage places and activities. Walking distance (can rent bikes from the bike shop nearby) to night markets, temples, bars and lots of little retail shops. Super convenient location, felt totally safe and enjoyed the company of P & H. Hosts are very responsive to queries. Value for money. Will return again.

I swapped to P&H last minute as I wasn't happy with the nearby hotel I had previously booked. Was very lucky to get a room here - located down a quiet side street with security cameras and owners living on the property. Room was spacious with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage. Wifi excellent. Large communal fridge next door and unlimited water provided. Bathroom clean. Location excellent within city walls and easy walking distance to local sites. Night markets nearby and very good massage around the corner. What made it special was the hosts who were available for any queries and very friendly (but not in your face) - we really enjoyed chatting with them each day and hearing about life in Thailand while playing with the next door kitten. Would definitely look to stay here again if in Chiang Mai.

Excellent location; clean and home-feeling; Paul and Harry are super friendly and always happy to share their tips of Chiangmai life. Chilled neighbourhood, 7-11 and laundry service are just around the corner.
