Teak House Chiang Mai

The house was fantastic, traditional teak house on stilts, very comfortable, the bed a bit hard..

Bob, the owner, showed us a lot of support by giving us a lot of tips and contacts for activities and for renting a scooter. He was always so nice and here to help. The place is super cute and comfy. The location is a bit far from the city center but if you have a scooter it's no problem.

I love the friendly staff and the availability of help for any problems. Love the facilities beautiful setting each bungalow was secluded by beautiful trees.

Unfortunately my room didn't have any air conditioning but apparently that's going to be rectified shortly

Nice convenient location out of town, rather quaint collection of small thai houses built by owner (Bob) over past decade (I think). It clearly needs a lot of upkeep and some facilities need a blitz - which was done while I was staying and it made a big difference .. definitely upped the impression of the place and would recommend for short and long stay.

it suited my purposes and I extended my stay... I finally left after ten weeks ... it was a value and enjoyable stay

If you like to stay at Ritz or Marriott type of hotels, this place isn't for you. The Teak House is surrounded by foliage at the end of a seldom traveled road, so it is in the middle of nature and very quiet, except for the occasional dogs barking. The Teak House is a group of 7 individual "cabins". Each unique. Bob, the owner, has decorated each cabin with his lifetimes worth of art and collectables, some going back to his great Grandparents Saskatchewan home. Each cabin let's you feel you are in a home. (about the farthest you can get from a hotel room). Each "cabin" has cooking facilities ranging from the bare basics to a fully workable kitchen. So if you are looking for a home feeling place that is funky and comfortable with management that go out of their way to please, this is for you.

Because of or due to the fact of the very quiet environment you can occasionally hear other conversations.

The ospitality, Bob the owner Is very kind and helpful .
