Booking.com did not supply us with the information we should have received to access the suite!

It was conveniently located for our needs.

The pictures of the front of the property and very outdated and a poor representation of the dirty and poorly maintained exterior. Also on the photograph shown, what is the garage is now the room we stayed in. Although the property is modern and well laid out, the standard of cleaning is not very good. The inside was very cold and there were no instructions regarding the heating. The shower had excessive mold around the bottom of the shower tray, indicating that it has not been cleaned in a good while. There was excessive dust around surfaces, skirting boards, and in the bathroom. The sugar storage tin had not been cleaned and had a lot of brown tea/coffee stains in it. The curtains were very thin and as there is a streetlight outside, the room was too bright to sleep. We could not get the TV to work at all, The rear window to the room we had, looked into the rear garden which was littered with dog poo. I know that the garden wasn’t accessible to guests to use but it was not a pleasant site. I called the owner prior to our stay to say that because of the checkin information we booked 2 nights as we had a wedding to attend on the second day and would not be at the accommodation at the required check in time or back by the curfew time for locking up. There was no mention that we really only needed 1 night as the accommodation has a key safe and is a separate unit from the main house, therefore arriving and leaving times did not matter. At £81 per night x2, it was a very expensive experience.

Great check in procedure with dedicated parking. Well equipped and in a great location!

There was no non slip mat to use in the shower and the floor of the shower was extremely slippy. My elderly mother did not feel confident showering so we had to ' improvise' and use the towelling bath mat inside the shower to reduce the risk of slipping!

Clean, well equipped

Poly cotton bed linen, prefer 100% cotton. Personal preference, probably wouldn’t bother other people.

It was beautiful

Normally I avoid private rentals as the tendency is for the host to behave as if it is a favour for you to stay, and this was no exception. Emails with rules sent before arrival then 4 pages of rules to follow when there.

4 pages of rules. No hairdryer provided, apparently because it’s self catering. 🤷 1 sachet of instant coffee Host said they had a dog that might bark on arrival, it barked late at night, at 4am and at 6.30am , was woken each time. Bright street light outside and no blackout blinds or curtains but sleep masks provided Having to strip the bed on leaving.
