Abbotts Hill

Das Ferienhaus liegt wunderschön auf einer Hügelkuppe mit herrlicher Aussicht ein kurzes Stück entfernt von Malmesbury, aber so nah an der Schnellstraße nach Kapstadt, dass wir sowohl in Malmesbury Freunde besuchen und beim super-leckeren Café Cherry Lane frühstücken konnten als auch alle Touren über die Kap-Halbinsel als auch nach Kapstadt, dem Tafelberg und dem botanischen Garten prima unternehmen konnten. Das Haus ist innerhalb des Farmgeländes gut gesichert gelegen, ohne dass man sich eingesperrt vorkommt. Die vier gleichwertigen Doppel-Schlafzimmer mit jeweils zugehörigem Bad sowie einer Extra-Toilette haben uns alle Möglichkeiten zur Aufteilung unserer Reisegruppe aus Eltern, (fast-) erwachsenen Kindern sowie Nachbarsssohn gegeben. Die Küche ist riesig und urgemütlich mit dem großen Esstisch. Leider waren wir so viel unterwegs, dass wir gar nicht zum gemütlichen Sitzen im Wohnzimmer oder draußen auf der Veranda gekommen sind. Und zu kalt für den Pool war es im August jetzt auch. Wir kommen deshalb ganz sicher auf unserem nächsten Südafrika-Besuch im Oktober oder März für eine ganze Woche wieder, um das Haus dann mit allen seinen Vorzügen nutzen zu können.

Nichts - wir müssen nur unbedingt in der warmen Jahreszeit wiederkommen, damit wir nicht mehr heizen müssen, sondern statt dessen den Pool nutzen können. Wir vermissen jetzt schon eure lieben Hunde, die für Kuschel-Einheiten am Abend gesorgt haben.

Beautiful house in a serene area. We had a very comfortable stay. We appreciated the attention to detail. The hosts were very helpful and catered to all our needs!

The property is exceptional, the house is extra comfortable, and the atmosphere is just right.

Check in was to late and check out was too early, we didn't want to leave .

What an absolutely awesome home 🏡 the 4 bedrooms eacg with their own bathrooms, the pool and rest of the house and the fact that it was so well equipped..and also that Marie was an excellent host, providing clear directions as well as a pleasant countenance...10/10 for all of us !

We loved staying here. The pool was the highlight of a hot weekend, the beds were comfy and we loved the huge kitchen and beautiful scenery. The hosts were friendly and even invited us to view wine making.

We were a little disappointed that some finishing touches were missing - for example some simple instant coffee is usually provided at previous places we have stayed. While there’s an option to buy coffee at a high price at the property, we would’ve loved some coffee to be provided as it is a helpful thing to have and particularly at the price of this property it was a little bit of a let down. We got a friend to bring coffee beans as we saw a grinder for beans, unfortunately the grinder was not functional. We also asked before the time if there was braai wood and fire lighters available which we were told there were. There was not enough fire lighters for even one fire and the wood wasn’t suitable for braaiing. We ended up having to send a list to our friends who arrived later of extra things to bring.
