Warm and welcoming - would stay again.

L’accès au salon qui permet de se détendre dans de confortables fauteuils . L’équipement très complet de la cuisine. Mais surtout l’extrême gentillesse des propriétaires, suite au blizzard ayant entraîné des fermetures de routes, Berglind nous a permis de garder la chambre et nous a aidé a trouver la meilleure solution pour repartir plus tard.

What can I say… this was by far the best stay we had in Iceland. Due to the weather, we arrived much earlier than planned and ended up getting snowed in – but honestly, there couldn’t have been a better place for it to happen. This guesthouse has such a special charm. It’s warm, welcoming, beautifully maintained, and truly feels like a real Icelandic home. Berglind and Finnbogi were incredibly kind and hospitable. When we got stuck, they welcomed us with the most wonderful homemade Icelandic supper – something so genuine and heartfelt, it’s hard to put into words. It was one of those moments that make a trip unforgettable. On top of that, Finnbogi personally cleared the snow for us so we could safely leave the property – such a thoughtful and generous gesture that really shows how much they care about their guests. The shared bathroom facilities were spotless, well organised, and more than sufficient for everyone – everything was thoughtfully arranged. We also absolutely loved the handmade Icelandic jumpers available to buy – such a unique and special touch. This is not just a place to stay – it’s a true Icelandic experience. We will definitely be back. If you’re looking for something authentic, cosy, and memorable – book this place. You won’t regret it 🤍

Absolutely nothing

Amazing experience. We were looking for a place to be able to see the Northern Lights. Well got quite a show all night! 360 Northern Lights everywhere!! Breakfast was amazing as well! Totally recommend the place!

I really enjoyed my stay at this guesthouse and its hosts, Berglind and Finnbogi. The location was peaceful and quiet on a Iceland farm; perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The house itself has a charming, historic feel that adds to the overall experience. Breakfast was excellent, with homemade rye bread and banana bread that I highly recommend. The hosts were very helpful to all guests talking to us over breakfast and giving us advice before our day's adventures. This is a lovely place to stay if you're looking for comfort and character in a serene setting.

I didn't book a long enough stay. This was by far my favorite guesthouse during my trip. I hope to stay there again.

Cette maison a une ame et une histoire...très cosy et chaleureure .des qu on entre on se sent dans un petit cocon. La vue de la chambre et le calme des lieux ...les propriétaires qui prennent le temps de passer du temps avec vous discuter de leur vies... Une de nos meilleures guesthouse pendant notre séjour...
