Breakfast was OK, but would of liked the selection of cereals and fruit to be set out so you could help yourself.

The double bed and duvet and pillows were not up to our expectations.

Location. Friendly welcome. Spacious room.

Standard of cleanliness poor. Bathroom: Shower head filthy and dirt around the plug hole, I was informed this was due to it coming up after cleaning. The rest of the bathroom appeared clean. Bedroom: Floors not hoovered properly, bits of dirt, crumbs and plastic (?from clothes tag). Pillows dirty (black marks), stained throw on bed, some hairs in bed. Dust and dirt on the headboard. Bin was dirty with bits in the bottom and a bin bag that didn't fit properly. The TV screen was filthy. Dirt marks on the draws. I did not stay the night in the property as I felt it was too dirty. I did not confront the owners in person as I did not want a confrontation. I also would not have been happy being moved to another room as at this point I was not happy being put in this situation. I did message them soon after leaving. They apologised and said they would look into it. Their response was that the dirt in the shower could have been from water coming back up after cleaning, which hasn't happened before and they are but human and can miss things, but this does not warrant me leaving. They insisted the rest of the room was satisfactory and I would not be entitled to a refund. They also said that any pictures I took can not be viewed as evidence as things can be added to change them. I took offense to this, and I assure you the pictures I upload here have not been changed. I had just walked from Skegness to Trusthorpe that day and was really looking forward to a shower and exploring the area in the evening. Such a shame my trip was ruined and I ended up at home. I wish I had a positive review to write.
