Troia Pension

A very nice and cozy 65-year-old family-run business. The owner, Uran, is a certified tour guide with very good English. He delighted us with fascinating historical stories about Troy and also organizes tours of the site — we had a truly enjoyable and memorable evening! Uran was extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. When one of my family members fainted, he immediately called an ambulance and assisted with translation when the doctors came, which we are deeply grateful for. We strongly encourage others to support his small business by staying at his accommodation and visiting his charming souvenir shop. It's clear that this place is run with care, passion, and a genuine love for sharing the history of his land and hospitality.

Posizione top, ma alcuni aspetti fanno storcere il naso Abbiamo soggiornato alla Troia Pension pagando 60€, un prezzo decisamente alto rispetto a quanto offerto. Le camere sono però un punto a favore: appena rinnovate, pulite e con un letto davvero comodo. La posizione è perfetta, si arriva all’ingresso del sito archeologico in un attimo – ideale se si vuole visitare Troia all’apertura. Purtroppo la colazione è stata molto deludente: davvero scarsa e con pochissima scelta. Un altro aspetto che ci ha lasciati perplessi è il loro shop interno: i prezzi sono fuori mercato. Una semplice calamita costava 200 TL, quando a pochi passi dal sito l’abbiamo trovata identica a 50 TL. Nel complesso, struttura ok per una notte grazie alla posizione e alla pulizia, ma il rapporto qualità/prezzo è migliorabile.

The location was the reason why we chose this property since it is just minutes from the Troy Archaeological Site and Museum. The owner and his team were very helpful and even prepared a homely dinner for us. Breakfast was simple but nice! The owner also arranged a taxi for us the next day to take us to the bus station in Camukale!

The rooms were very basic with limited toiletries in the bathroom. The room size was also small for a family. It was comfortable for a one night stay.

We were very close to the Troy archeological site and the Troy Museum. Our hosts were kind and engaging, and did prepare a good dinner and make tea/coffee when requested.

Unfortunately, the beds were hard and the bedding inadequate. On two of our three mornings there was no hot water.

The owner was. very pleasant and friendly.
