The style, attention to details like lighting and the balcony looking into the garden. I had just come from working at a rough place where the facilities were basic so it was a treat to have this place

Excellent accomodation, got a run down from the host of the accomodation and what’s around the area. Perfect place to relax. Great meal out at the local but couldn’t make New Year at midnight . Excellent places to visit, glad we stay three days.

Everything we needed for a great relax in Golden Bay, lovely location, very welcoming and a feeling of home.

The location

It was trying to be something it couldn’t ! We were travelling for six weeks and so needed to be self catering. This is the main reason for staying here. The cooking arrangements were far from ideal. Sink in the hall, fridge in the bedroom, BbQ in the garden. No where to prepare even the simplest of meals. Get rid of the breakfast bar and easy chair. No one probably ever uses them. People have luggage and bags there was no where to put them. We were literally falling over each other. The shared cooking facilities were weird and you could hear other people using the bathroom! It would be much better advertising the place as just room and get rid of all the stuff that we were falling over!

Friendly host, well equipped, great location

Fabulous location. Great host. Lovely decking and pretty garden with its own mini hobbit door. Well appointed suite with freedom to enjoy the garden and sit on the deck enjoying a glass of wine. Good very local convenience store within a few minutes' walk, next to Farewell Spit tours. Beach very close. Would recommend.

The room heated up very quickly when the sun reached the patio doors and opening the main door into the suite was the only way to get a breeze. Note: there was a fan. Admittedly, the weather was very warm so wouldn't be an issue normally. The kitchenette available to both rooms was just outside the suite door so you might be disturbed by other guests if they cook late in the evening or early in the morning.
