"it was pleasant stay , apart from the issues raised above."

The owner was nice and warm , welcomed me upon arrival and seemed interested in my visit.

The linen looked like it had not been changed , as there was hair between the sheets. the door handle was not easy to lock. The cleaners were noisy.

Location is great. Lovely environment. Good clean linen and a good bed and very good toiletries.

The place is just not up to standard for the price that you pay and what is been offered by booking.com. We are very frequent travellers - about 30-40 guesthouses all over the world per annum... and this one stands out as not up to the standard that is expected. The towels in the bathroom are not even of the same colour - one beige and one green, one of the side lamps does not work. There is a general feeling that for the price you pay the place should be better maintained. We have stayed for R400 less in a top notch guesthouse in Knysna with an excellent breakfast and for the same amount less in an even better place in Kirkwood.
