Well maintained. Parking available. Communal well equipped kitchen and social rooms. Private bath. This is remote community yet thankfully a cafe was available nearby for a meal.

The booking was made in English, however there was no indication that phone contact would be in Hungarian only and that it was a self entry system. The information we were able to glean about our room assignment was also incorrect. This created some confusion until a bilingual fellow lodger arrived and determined that our room will be reassigned. At booking, there was also no indication that we would need our own towels A note regarding the above would be helpful in the booking information, i.e. language of communication specifically and self-entry. Knowing that I do not speak Hungarian could have generated an e-mail message in English from the owner regarding the entry procedure or who to contact in the village to assist. (We learned later that a server at the cafe spoke English. )

A very nice country house in a small village, next to amazing magical forests with lots of paths to walk, deers roaming around at dusk and rich birdlife. Very pet-friendly, our little dog was happy to run free and safe in the fenced yard. A couple of nearby guesthouses had restaurants.

Nearest shop 30 km away - do your grocery shopping before reaching the place.
