your booking.com systems made us confuse. you gave us all the confirmation and pin no which made us confident that the booking was confirmed. what happened was my booking has been cancelled by the owner due to communication issue. why the hell they (owner) need to call and again confirmed with us by phone whether we truely will stay or not??!! In other word, your confirmation and pin number was useless unless the owner contact us and again confirmed verbally the booking. its why your bookin.com system and the owner the way of business was nonsense., never book with booking.com again.
