Rainworth Lodge

A lovely secluded lodge to stay at with a beautiful lake plenty of space to wonder in the garden beautiful luxury bedrooms Would 100% stay again exceeded expectations to say the least

Nothing at all the lodge was warm and welcoming beautiful view

The room was large and the bed comfortable. The decor was lovely. We loved the zebras at the top of the stairs! We enjoyed watching the bunnies in the garden. The information about the history of the place was interesting and the suggestions for places to eat were welcome - we chose to support The Archer and were glad we did! We were grateful for the kettle, coffee and biscuits.

Communication was through SMS. Sadly our self check-in details didn’t arrive (as the message was too long, we assume!) so we had to phone Holly; she then resent them by WhatsApp. To be honest, it would have been nice to have had a more personal touch and to have been met on arrival. We approached from Blidworth Village and missed the driveway as there is no visible sign for Rainworth Lodge unless you approach from Rainworth! We had seen a games room on the website, but there was no indication that it was available to us, in Room 2 - also it wasn’t clear whether we could use the patio area and hot tub; it would be good to make reference to these areas in the in-room information. We’ve never been asked to remove our shoes on arrival …..except in Japan! We can understand why as the driveway was a bit muddy and goose droppings plentiful!

Everything was great. Lovely room, clean, great hot tub and amazing facilities such as game room and smart TV.

No iron

I was here for work and the location was very close to where I needed to be. Lovely room, good size and comfy bed with smart tv

Could have had a larger fridge

We liked the fact that Holly allowed us to go in our room much earlier than we expected. We also liked the fact that it's got a little lake next to it that you can sit next to and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the countryside.

What we didn't like is the false advertising or misleading information from the booking.com site. I'm not sure whose lying but when you look at the pictures of the Lodge, you see a lovely sitting area with a hot tub. However in reality you can't use any of it. You get a garden view but you can't sit in the garden. We were left with chairs & tables next to the lake absolutely covered in bird poo. In the end we broke the lodge rules and sat on a table and chair set next to the lake as it was the only clean place to sit. Had we known about these rules we wouldn't have stayed there.

The toilet was not working properly

Beautiful grounds , beautiful room with everything you need . Feels like you are miles awsy from everywhere but you arent .Bunnies and ducks in the morning . Will definatly return and stay for longer.

There was nothing i didnt like other than i dodnt stay long enough

Loved the location, great distance for work. Great for parking, huge room which was spotless! Bed linen smelt fresh (not like some hotels/bnb’s). Peaceful sleep cosy room.

1st time with self check in, bin wasn't empted and toilet roll wasn't replenished the next day.

Lovely and quiet. Large comfy room. Great communication and easy to access.
