Holiday Village And Natural Garden Resort

Phuket was our last stop of our tour of Thailand. After a great deal of search in the internet, we struck a balance between comfort and economy and chose “Holiday Village & Natural Resorts” in Karon Beach, Phuket for 4 nights from 28th Nov 2015. Though the reviews were mixed, presence of a garden tilted the scale in favour of the resort. It was a long drive from Phuket airport and cost us a neat 1000 Thai Bhat by metered taxi. That was the only time meter was used. On all other occasions, we had to rely on our negotiating skills. The resort, if it may be called so, consisted of a front office serving as reception, a flight of stairs leading to a cemented pathway in the middle of a small garden with neatly trimmed bushes and plants. There were several blocks all around each consisting of different types of rooms. Our room on ground floor had a double bed with attached bathroom, ac, tv and hair dryer. Enough place to keep the luggage and clothes. Room was cleaned and towels changed every day. It was compact and functional. The entire place was devoid of frills. Location of the resort was spot on. Though situated on the busy Patak road, it was not far from the beach. Restaurants, exchange houses, pharmacy, shops and travel agents’ offices were within minutes’ reach. You can flag down a taxi, tuk tuk or a bus (running every half an hour or so) on the road. The man running the show was very friendly and very helpful. Being an artist, he would whip out a piece of paper and draw a map of our places of interest with routes. The framed paintings in rooms and reception bore testimony to his artistic skills. The lobby, though small, was tastefully decorated and well kept. Tea/coffee corner was clean and well stocked all the time. There is another beach in Karon with lot of hotels, restaurants etc and of course a big crowd. But we would prefer this homely place any day.

Location is quite good, 5-minute walk from Karon beach and in front of 7-eleven shop. In the morning and at night, many food stalls near the 7-eleven. The owner was very nice and help us with direction to the beach. Free coffee and tea is available up to 10 PM. Both room and bathroom was nice and clean, we even get additional 1 big mirror in our room! Wi-fi was great and toiletries were also provided. When we left the room in the morning and return at evening, the room was already cleaned up and the towels were changed. Would love to stay here again.

It was nice place . Was comfortable but the main disappointment was they never changed my bedsheet in 4 days and i have to leave just next to lila villa . I saw a snake while i was sitting i called the lady in reception she said its green and have small head so wont bite .i was amazed overall its ok .but the place smellss bad

This hotel is tucked away at the southern end of karon beach. Hence, the area it is in is a bit quieter and has lesser shops than the northern part of karon. However, the hotel staff was really friendly and the rates were cheap. The beds and pillows were also comfortable. Take note that at night there are plenty of mosquitoes so keep your room door close. The hotel is also only a 10 minute walk to the beach. There is free 24-hour wifi access in the room as well.

Only stayed 1 night but on arriving were given upgrade to the most expensive and largest type of room. All the rooms look onto a lovely little garden which even at peak time was quiet. This hotel is on very busy and noisy Patak Road which you cross to get down to the beach , about a 10-15 minute walk past all the bars and shops. However when inside the garden you can hardly hear the traffic noise. Lovely people at reception and free tea/ coffee there too. All in all we enjoyed our one night and would have been happy to have stayed longer.

We were disappointed with a number of things with this room. First, we ordered two beds but only got one. Second, the room was small for the price in comparison to other hotels in the area. The room was old. The shower was not a separate area but one over the toilet. The staff was nice and friendly but it didn't live up to the price or our expectations. Wifi was really slow. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the beach.

Rooms are spacoius and clean , staff a brother and sister are so friendly and very accomodating, help us in all our inquiries, good location just a 10-20 mins walk to the beach, near seven eleven, lots of street foods during night time which we bought our foods very very cheap compare to restaurant....pad thai in restaurant cost 120 Baht...in the street cost 50-60 baht and taste better from the restaurant

Nice family runing hotel. Staff is polite and very friendly. Always here to help in any situation. There are different types of rooms. Cheap ones with just a fan or new high quality rooms like in a 4 to 5 Start Hotel. Later on we moved in one of these rooms. The rate was a bit higher but perfect. WiFi and TV for free is a A+. The way to the beach is arround 7 minutes on foot. The busy street behing the Resort is not bothering you, because you almost can't hear the cars and bikes. For family/kids is a plus to have a nice natural garden. Kids are very safe there. All in one I can say you get what you paid for more than enough. A swimming pool would be appreciated. But the space is probably to small. All in one I can say, I am coming back for sure.

We stayed at Holiday Village for three nights at a price of 1500 baht per night for a room with air con. Tha staff were very friendly, but unfortunately the sonud isoltaion was poor. You could hear the next door neighbours through the door and there was someone in the vicinity who turned the TV on at seven in the mroning. It would probably have been better to stay in one of the rooms that did not share a stairwell. The hotel was located at the main road behind Karon, which is not a 20 minute walk from the beach. It took about 5 minutes (10 if you were very slow) to walk to the beach. You didn't hear the road from our room, but it would probably be wise not to liv in the rooms closest to the road.
