Stonehouse on Main

We had the most wonderful 7-night stay at Stonehouse on Main over the festive season, and I truly cannot recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, Rahelah and Steve made us feel incredibly welcome. Rahelah has such a gentle, warm nature, and together they create a space that feels calm, caring, and thoughtfully run. Steve’s cooking deserves a special mention: breakfast was included and they genuinely went the extra mile every single morning, with a variety of options and generous spreads straight from the kitchen. The guesthouse also offers dinner options and has a bar on-site, which is a lovely added extra for guests (even though we didn’t make use of it ourselves). Our room was immaculately clean and beautifully kept: fresh bedding, a spotless bathroom with everything you could need (clean towels, bath mat, the works), aircon for the warmer days, and a lovely balcony where we enjoyed our morning tea and coffee. Our room was serviced daily, and laundry was happily done on request, which made such a difference during a longer stay. My wife is 8+ months pregnant, and when a cancellation opened up, Rahelah and Steve kindly upgraded us to a larger room at no extra cost. The extra space and bigger bed meant so much to us and was such a thoughtful, generous gesture. The location is also perfect: close to the main beach and within easy walking distance of everything you might need in Struisbaai. A super duper lovely stay from start to finish. If you’re looking for a guesthouse that is spotless, comfortable, well-located, and hosted by genuinely kind people, Stonehouse on Main is an absolute gem. We would happily return in a heartbeat.

Nothing

The host were amazing, always seeing if everything was okay. Nothing was too much, even cleaning of rooms after dedicated time without having to ask. Exceptional service all around

Shower leaked and the water (hot/cold) balancing. Other than that, everything was perfect.

This place is perfect. From an easy check-in, super friendly, and helpful owners/staff to a clean, comfortable room and a delicious breakfast to top it all off. The owners really go above and beyond to make sure everything is to your liking. This is what all guest houses/B&Bs should aspire to be like. Perfection

Sehr ruhig gelegen und sicher

Die gebuchten Zimmer entsprachen nicht unseren Vorstellungen . In einem Zimmer gab es nur eine mini Badewanne die völlig frei im Raum stand und 140 cm lang war , sehr dekorativ aber völlig unpraktisch weil nicht wirklich zu benutzen! Einen Wechsel in ein anderes Zimmer mit einer normalen Dusche war nur gegen Aufpreis von 50 Euro für eine Nacht möglich . Konnte wir nicht wirklich nachvollziehen denn es waren genügend Zimmer nicht belegt die bestimmt nicht alle Deluxe waren Frühstück war ok allerdings nicht überragend Brot teilweise noch gefroren , keine Wurst am Buffet .
