Hostal Maria Tepozteca

La amabilidad de Juan y Carolina de lo mejor, siempre fueron muy atentos a nuestras peticiones, además nos apoyaron con el servicio de taxi para que nos transportaran a la reserva de los venados. El lugar es limpio , cómodo y silencioso. La ubicación es buena , esta cerca del sendero hacia el Tepozteco. El camino para llegar al alojamiento es lindo y tranquilo, pero si no estas dispuest@ a caminar un poco más y encontrarte con 2 subiditas más (nada del otro mundo), considéralo.

The hosts and staff were welcoming, kind, and helpful. It was quiet and comfortable.

This is personal: I have a knee injury and the access to and from the property was challenging for me. All of Tepoztlan is hilly and stony, but at this location I was scared of falling while going down some of the hills to town, and coming back uphill, after dark especially. I booked for 4 nights but the hosts kindly understood my needs and allowed me to cancel the last 2 nights. In general, I think certain details should be mentioned by booking.com when describing properties.

The place is peaceful, ursine the noise of the city and has a beautiful view! The stars is very buca and friendly

The staff at Maria Tepozteca are very kind, warm and inviting people. I am vegan and the breakfast that the prepare is not typically a vegan breakfast but they went out of their way to provide me with a meal that I could enjoy. For me, this is beyond amazing. The beds are comfy, the showers were hot.

Sadly, when I stayed at the hostel there were some nights in the dorm where there were individuals snoring and there were other nights where really smelly people arrived. The hostal has no control over this but yeah, this is tough. Also the Hostal is located far up on a hill so its challenging to walk up if you have heavy bags

Barking neighborhood dogs at night. Difficult to maintain a warm shower: too hot water, or cold.
