Pia Rooms

This is definitely one of my favorite accommodations in Chania during the years! The room was nicer than in the pictures (maybe they did renovate meanwhile?). The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The window offered a view directly to the central fountain and to the lighthouse, breathtaking at any hour of the day or night! So the location couldn't be more central than this. In the evenings we would comfortably sit on the bed and listen to the live music played at the fountain. And even better, once you'd close the window, zero sounds from the street (best noise cancelling windows!). On some evenings there was noise from other guests, but hey, it's a city full of life, not a retreat, I can understand that. Pia, the host, was incredibly kind. She offered us water, homemade pastries (delicious!) and invited us every morning for coffee. Marble large stairs, for those carrying suitcases.

The central location was perfect. Right near the port town, you could not wish for more atmosphere & restaurants on your door step whilst being quiet to sleep. Rented two rooms both with fantastic views. Best of all was our amazing host Pia. Amazing. Could not have done more for us as being her guests. So generous. Amazing place to stay. Fully recommend this stay!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

we didn't meet Pia as we arrived late and left early but she was very helpful over WhatsApp. the room was very nice and right in the old town..

Pia the owner is your mum away from home. she is so kind and ready to help you at all costs. she is a gem! you have nothing to worry about she will help you always! water pressure is great! beds are comfy and you are literally right on the main square if the old town you can see the lighthouse from your bed. You have a fridge too In your room. Thank you Pia 🫶🏼

I liked everything especially the location and comfort of the bed. if you are very old and have knee problems keep in mind you need to go up 2 flights of stairs with luggage -but Pia is always there to help you if you still choose this place.

Pia rooms is located in the very center of the old town of Chania, less than ten minutes walk from the central bus station (KTEL) and from there it's about half an hour to airport costing only 2,5 €. The room I got was number 203 with a window opening to harbor, which was very nice. Windows closed the noise didn't bother at all. In the room there's well functioning air-condition, TV and fridge. Beer and soft drinks put in the icebox will get frozen. Hostess Pia herself is one of the most attending, warm and kind persons I have ever met. When I was wondering where to eat she suggested best places where locals go. While those avoidable restaurants at the harbor have people to lure tourists in (opposite to bouncers?), in the places where locals go, for example excellent seafood restaurant "To Maridaki", one may have to queue with locals to get in, but it's well worth it (I wish to marry the cook). Pia also made sure that I had at least sandwiches to eat when I attended bus tours very early in the morning. Thank you Pia, it was great help.

Room is quite simple. Also bathroom has a shower that is a bit tricky to use. The shower curtain doesn't hide the toilet seat next to it, so the seat will get wet, and one should pay attention to keep the curtain inside the shower basin in order not to wet the whole bathroom floor.

Pia‘s homemade breakfast was amazing 😍 best tomato salad I have ever eaten in my entire life! Pia was always looking out for us and making sure that we have everything we need :D

Our stay at PIA Rooms in Crete was magical. From the very first moment, we were embraced by the kindness of Pia, the incredible owner. We’ve traveled to many places and stayed in many hotels, even luxurious five-star ones, but nothing has ever come close to the experience we had here. The location is perfect, the accommodation is in the heart of Chania, right next to the harbor and a lot of wonderful restaurants, cafés and shops but what really made our stay unforgettable was Pia herself. She went above and beyond in every possible way, making sure our room was always spotless. Every day was filled with little gestures of care that made us feel so special and at home. Her commitment to making our stay perfect was evident in everything she did, and it’s because of her that our time in Crete was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. Pia will forever hold a special place in our hearts. If you’re planning to visit Crete, we would definitely recommend staying at PIA Rooms. Property is located in the center of Chania Old Town. Everything is just few steps away:) bus stops to get other places are 3-5 min walk. Pia itself is an extremely friendly host, she made us feel welcome there :) She also answers quickly on the questions. We truly recommend the place! :)

Pillows could be smaller as impossible to sleep on them unfortunately. However, my friend had much better pillow so only me was the unlucky one ;) I believe if I ask Pia she would replace mine.

Very good situation to visit the old Chania. Nice place/room and person. I recommend this place if you want to stay in the heart of the old Chania
