Huguenot House

Huguenot House is in a beautiful part of Franschoek with gorgeous views and lovely plush gardens. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the beds are so comfortable.

The host, Jesse, and his team are friendly, professional, and very capable. They were very accommodating in receiving a parcel for me when I wasn't there. That was kind. The bed is one of the comfiest I've ever slept in. I have suffered from strange bed syndrome in the past. None of that here. The grounds are tranquil, and when you're in your unit, you can feel like the only ones on the property. The location was perfect for our needs. I enjoyed walking through the garden. Breakfast options were varied and well prepared. We asked for sourdough bread on the first day, and they didn't have any. The next morning, we were served sourdough bread. I appreciate that level of thoughtfulness and customer responsiveness.

On my Christmas wishlist for this venue would be blackout curtains. I wish the sun could be kept out more so that sleep is uninterrupted. I'd also like the staff to be a little more efficient in responding to what was, in essence, a standard breakfast order. Breakfast, though delicious and well presented, took too long, even when there were never more than six guests in the restaurant at any given time. Even so, these minor things shouldn't detract from the fact that we had a great stay, and we would recommend it.

Prachtig op rustige ligging, om de hoek van wijngaarden en top restaurants. Ook slechts 5min rijden van het charmante Franschhoek! Kamer heel ruim en mooi, ontbijt heerlijk...wij komen er graag weer terug!

Vista maravilhosa, jardim florido, quarto amplo e aconchegante .

Unfortunately, we were unable to stay on this occasion due to the fires. However, we have been before and this is an absolutely gorgeous property. Everything is stunning from the decor to the views. The rooms are huge and comfortable. We will 100% be back again.
