Duncan Murray Villa

Originally I've booked a room at this place. When I came there in Tuk Tuk the host said there is no free room in the actual house and that we should follow him to another place nearby. We did and the other place turned out to be some kind of motel. The host of the motel was drunk when I got there (although friendly). Room seemed clean overall eventhough I did not feel comfortabel because for example in the bathroom the ceiling looked completely disgusting also there was a certain smell inside. The bed and also the towels didn't seem clean as if they have been used and not washed (I was lucky to have my own sleeping bag with me). So at this point I can surely give no recommendation to go there. At least the room was cheap and also not too small (3.000 Rs - around 9 Euro).

Big room with a good fan. Bathroom did not have hot shower, but not actually a problem for me.

It was in close proximity to the bus station.

The bed sheets were dirty, the room smelt of the drains and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. However Janaka our host was exceptional and went out of his way to take us out on a lovely safari. All in all you get what you paid for.
