Sari Nadi Beach

I’m not someone who usually leaves negative reviews, but this case deserves to be shared. Travelers deserve honest information, and unfortunately, Booking doesn’t seem to monitor these listings beyond what we share in our reviews — so it’s important to speak up. I booked this accommodation for 3 nights, but we had to leave after just one. While the cabin is beachfront, it’s not suitable for swimming due to the coral. The cleanliness was below expectations — the bathroom had a persistent bad smell due to poor ventilation, and several details showed clear neglect. For example, a broken bedside lamp reported in reviews since January is still not fixed — and it’s now May. That night, a storm hit, and the cabin let in water. It’s clearly not designed for such conditions and being so close to the sea, it felt unsafe. While some may enjoy a rustic experience, the price does not match the reality offered. The cabin has not been properly maintained. The drying rack was nearly broken, most of the electrical outlets didn’t work, and the beach umbrella was covered in mold. We simply couldn’t stay — it felt like we paid far too much for something that doesn’t meet even basic standards. We moved to Kompyang Cottage for two nights, paid less, and the difference was overwhelming — clean, comfortable, and well cared for. I believe this place should not remain listed on Booking until substantial improvements are made. Booking also has a responsibility to ensure guests are treated fairly and receive what they’re promised.

Excellent location ! very sweet host and staff. host kept my luggage before check in after checkout with out any hessiation. he also dropped me to nearest warung. Room is equipped with all the amenities, extreamly clean room, with shower and beach bench outside room. room is bang on the beach with no one around and very safe. just perfect small shop 10 mtr away for beer or any other grocery lost and lots of good restaurants with in 1 km

there is nothing we can complaint about still booking.com asking to write 2-3 lines what you did not like about the property.... absolutely that is so not fair on any property

Everything was fine, the family was very friendly, got a very good breakfast every day in time.

Having the beach so close was amazing. Waking up, having breakfast on the beach, going for a swim… really great! The breakfast was basic but good and the owners are very friendly people. The room/bathroom was clean.

They seemed surprised that we had a booking and had to quickly clean the room. But they were very friendly and had it done quickly.

The proximity to the beach was amazing! The water at high tide was just metres away from the bungalow. Could snorkel right off the beach. Loved it!

The property was on the beach and the owners were lovely. They also provided scooters, booked us a snorkelling trip to Manta Point and drove us to the port at the end of our stay.

The view from the property is great. It's right on the beach and you can hear the waves from your room. The room was very clean.

The location because it's right on the beach has no shade and there is just constant heat all day long. The room is supposed to be air conditioned but it was just not working. We called up and told them and said we cannot stay in this room and even with an extra fan it was just too hot. You wanted to cancel our reservation but the property insisted that we modify our booking from the site. For that they told us we needed to call booking.com. we told him repeatedly that it would not be possible since we were on international non calling SIM cards but they kept repeating the same thing over and over. The caretaker refused to let us make even one phone call from his local number. We ended up modifying our booking but got only about 25% of our money back for one day. Additionallly we had rented a scooter for 3 days but since we were checking out the caretaker told us we had to return the scooter and for that he woke us up in the morning. We felt the staff was unhelpful and unfair especially since it was their AC that was woefully inadequate. Merely saying that the room is aircondionted is not sufficient. We thereafter left and went next door to Beach House Penida which was beautiful and 100 times better in every regard that too for the same price. Would avoid this one.

Own little beach area was really nice. Perfect place to relax and go swimming.. Lots of diving companies and restaurants close. Nice and friendly 2 dogs visited often to keep us company. Staff rented us a scooter to go around the island. Very nice stay.

Breakfast choices could be better, maybe some light options included like smoothie bowls :) Also I hope that street dogs are treated nicely, no throwing stones at them and maybe offer some fresh drinking water for those poor animals.
