Vilu Thari Inn Maldives

We really enjoyed the time at Vilu Thari. Very friendly staff (the best staff crew we ever had). It felt like being at home and not at a hotel. The tour guide Ayya really loves his job and he is breathing to organize excursions that leave the people speechless. Whalesharks, dolphins, turtles, snorkeling and finish. We did it all The food was really good. The Maledivian breakfast is amazing and the Lobster was delicious!

The beds were a little bit too short for taller people like me. And the internet connection could be better, especially if people want to work from the paradise that Maldives actually is :)

I’d like to thank all the staff Vilu Thari Inn Maldives. We were impressed with the service and the attitude towards guests throughout the entire period of stay from the first meeting with flowers and sincere smiles to the warm farewell. Special thanks to the guide Ayya. He helped organize our leisure all days, showed with the beauty of the island Mahibadhoo and other places. Ayya very interesting told about the life of the Maldivians, their culture. Moreover, Ayya made wonderful videos and photos on various excursions and walks. This vacation I will never forget. 😍🤩☀️ Special thanks to the chef. Every evening we got aesthetic and taste pleasure from dinner. Our wishes were always taken into account, and even prepared dishes that are not on the menu 😍🤩☀️ For the breakfast there are 3 options: Maldivian breakfast, a continental breakfast, pancakes with chocolate and fruits 🥰 10 days in the Maldives passed perfectly. A great part of this was the warm hospitality by Vilu Thari Inn Maldives 🌺🙏

Viluthari Hotel is the best one you can find in Mahibadhoo Island. The quality/price is fare and stuff is kind and helpful with you. There is a very beautiful terrace where you have all the sea view and where they serve a good breakfast. On top of the hotel there is yacuzzi (but you have to pay 50 euros to use it for 2 hours maximum). Rooms have comfortable beds and they clean it very well. I recomend this hotel if you travel to this Island. It is not a resort as you may expect so they do not organize anything fun at night. It is actually very calm and quite.

I didn't like the Island's policy. The first thing that they tell you at check in, is that you cannot wear your bikini in the public beaches (there is only one provided for turist) and that when you walk in the street you have to cover shoulders and legs. You cannot use your normal short dresses with 35 degrees. Maldives really disappointed me in this sense, because we should not be forced to do something that is not usual in our culture. When muslim people come to our Countries we do not tell them to take their burkas out and behave like us. Because we respect all the culture. People look at you in a bad way and they make you feel uncomfortable, like if you were an alien or something. There are no parties, no alcohol is sold in the shops, and only 3 restaurants to eat. For me it has been a very boring holiday and personally I am not coming back to this country ever again. Plus everything is super expensive (all excursions go from 70 to 120 dollars). If I had known these things before I would have never come here. When I arrived in Male I went to the beach and I was going to wear my normal bikini and all the muslim girls that were going to the water with their burkas start to scream at me that it is prohibited to do it. I answered that I was not naked, but they forced me to go to the water with my long dress and got all wet for 2 hours when I went out of the sea. For me this is really a shame and I think someone should seriously do something about it. Halla prayers are spread out 5 or 6 times per day in all squares from 05.00 in the morning till afteroon. I think it is really too much to accept. P.s. such a beauty and wealth in the end of the wrong people. I Think many of you think the same.

Very good hotel, friendly personal, always hearing our wishes. The best chef on this island he cook for us. We will come back for sure

the staff are extremly helpful and friendly. The rooms are small but neat. This is a basic hotel-so no frills and fanciness.

The entrance and surroundings are not very clean and tidy. So around the hotel there is construction, rubble, and litter. The beach is a few minutes away, however tourists wishing to use a bathing costume can only swim in a small section of the area. Visiting the rest of the beach area means one has to cover up and respect the local Islamic customs.

If I could give more than 10 I will Stay at Viluthari is like staying with old friends they are always ready to laugh and have a little chat with you the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the food is delicious and the chef please any our request outside the menu (even for last minutes dessert 😋) the Island is beautiful, you will find a smile in any person you’ll meet on the street, and is so nice to have the possibility to speak and learn about the lives of the local person my suggestion? come when it’s your birthday you will receive a wonderful surprise 😍 thanks again to all the guys we’ll going to miss everything

I absolutely love this place, as I was coming as a solo traveler, I was pretty tense about how the holidays will go, but as soon as I got here, I felt peaceful, excited, and definitely well taken care of by the whole team. I loved everything from the check-in to the room to the breakfast, meals, restaurant, the whole island, the cheerful locals, the scenery, the beach, literally everything. The food was excellent, I devoured every bite of it, I shall thank Gayan, Asari, and Azzam for the amazing service and for their support regarding the whole trip. Special thanks to Aya, who made me feel at home, and made sure I was happy and enjoying every second of the trip, and the little tours on the island. Last but not least, The manager Aafef is the sweetest host, he made sure I was comfortable and went the extra mile to make the journey memorable. Thank you once again Villu Thari inn team, I will definitely miss you and the whole island.
