Paying by card should be an option but I think it’s a Sri Lankan thing.

Location! near the beach bars

A nasty and unpleasant owner!!!! We were greeted with a smile and offered to look at available rooms, and we decided to stay for two nights; the price was fine. The room was average, but we figured we could live with it for two nights! There's an outdoor shower on the property, which is very convenient to use after the beach. My girlfriend wore a bikini after the beach, and that's normal! Then my girlfriend started saying that the owner was watching her strangely and thought he was filming her! I started watching, and it turned out to be true: he was constantly on his phone, sitting in one convenient spot. We later realized why. I reprimanded him, and then aggression erupted, and when I asked to see his phone, it almost came to blows. He started kicking us out, but we decided not to leave on principle. We've heard that men in Sri Lanka have problems with women, but on the hotel grounds it's endless! Maybe he's jealous that he doesn't have such a beautiful girlfriend! That evening, we also saw him constantly hitting on his female tourists, meaning single women, buying them alcohol, and constantly inviting people into his room, as he lives on the premises! We left with a bad feeling and moved to another hotel, where many locals confirmed to us that he's not a sane person and that he's not in his right mind! I don't recommend this place! Be careful!
