The staff was lovely, the room big. You can buy sandwiches and breakfast. Cheap for what it offers. Perfect for one night before taking the boat

The rooms were quite old and run down, they could also be cleaned a bit better

Big shoutout to the owner: so lovely and helpful 😊 We stayed here for one night before taking the slow boat to Luang Prabang - we can recommend to stay at this guesthouse: the owner booked the boat for us, helped us to get seats in the front and - most importantly - you can pre-order meals for the boat. The food was so delicious, one of the best pancakes I have ever had. Further, they drive you to the pier in the morning.

Staff were very helpful and the location is convenient.

Poor cleaning and maintenance. I do appreciate that this is a budget option and for that I accept old furniture, thin walls etc. However maintenance and cleaning should be a minimum expectation of any price bracket.

First hotel we stayed in Laos, very small village but the owner speaks very good English and helped us with everything we needed. We ended up booking slow boat with her and she got us front area seats as we requested. (Which is pretty important for slow boat, you don’t want seat at the back with very loud engine.) For the people crossing the boarder from Thailand, the quality of building or facilities go down but remember you entered a different country.

Location & lovely staff made it a great 1 night stopover before our Mekong downriver cruise.

Bed is a bit hard but that is good for the back they say…:)
