GekQ Inn Langkawi

This was my second stay at Gekq Inn in 2 months. For me, it is perfect; I love being in the country and the Inn is surrounded by paddy fields, many colourful birds around the property, wildlife, beautiful gardens, quiet and peaceful environment. Azaar's family kind and friendly; invited me for coconut and snacks with them to celebrate Eid. I had the same room as before; spacious, comfy bed, kettle, fridge, TV, aircon and fan, chairs and desk. Good shower pressure, electric shower. There's a communal kitchen if you like to cook. If you do want to go to Cenang the property hires motor scooters and bikes, a Grab is only around 11 myr. Also a couple of local shops and restaurants within easy walking distance.

Really enjoyed staying here. Peaceful environment in a rural setting with local shops a few minute's walk away. Spacious room with fridge, kettle, comfortable bed, aircon and fan. Good shower and a shared kitchen, stable Internet connection. Spotlessly clean. Outside a verandah to sit on and watch the many birds and other wildlife around.Attractive and colourful gardens. Friendly and helpful staff.

No complaints, perfect for me, will stay here again.

the ambience is justifiable, however the gardens are too overgrown with unnecessary plants. better to plant smaller bushes that ward off mosquitoes, rather than plant a small tree that provides scant shade.

could do better with maintenance to the facilities (for example the door to B3 needs fixing), and there are not enough power outlets. and i didn't know where to find the wifi password, maybe make it easier for the guests if the password is pasted on the room key.

GekQ was awesome! It is a nice place to stay away from the other tourists in Lankawi, and they even have scooters for you to rent there. I loved the rural location, the kind owner, the outdoor kitchen, the garden, the porch, and the access to laundry.

It was close to the mosque so it was a little loud, it didn't bother me but it may bother someone else. Besides that, I awoke to beautiful bird sounds every morning.
