Gama House & Garden with restaurant

Great host. Very pleasant. We've arrived later that the check in hours, but managed to get the room in a few minutes. Great breakfast, and again, very kind and pleasant service. Lovely place, very green and the forest is just around you. Parking is across the road. ~7-10 minutes to Mocanita Maramures by car.

Recomand din toata inima! Locatia este excelenta, foarte bine intretinuta. Gazdele au fost nemaipomenite, ne-au facut sa ne simtim foarte bine. Mancarea a fost grozava, am incercat umpic din toate si nu ne-a dezamagit. Cu siguranta vom reveni.

The staff is very friendly and genuinely tries to help as much as possible. The location is a major advantage, especially if you plan to take the Mocănița train ride or hike to Cascada Cailor and other nearby attractions. They also offer a breakfast option which is tasty, although it probably won’t keep you full for more than a couple of hours. There is also a free parking spot available across the street, which is convenient.

The bathroom, especially the shower cabin, didn’t seem very clean. There also wasn’t enough shower gel provided for 4 people. The apartment itself looks a bit odd. There is one double bed in the bedroom, but it’s extremely uncomfortable — very hard, like sleeping on a rock — so expect back and neck pain in the morning. My friends complained a lot about how uncomfortable their sleep was. In the living room, there is another double bed, but it’s probably not wide enough for two overweight people. I thought this was worth mentioning. On the positive side, that bed was actually comfortable, and it seems like the mattress was replaced recently. There are only 4 glasses in the apartment and just one small fridge. If you plan to eat there, make sure to buy food that doesn’t require cutlery because very little is provided. Considering this is an apartment, there isn’t really a proper table. There’s only one desk with a chair, plus two extra chairs placed in the dressing room. I’m also not sure why there is a separate dressing room with the fridge placed inside it. The furniture overall feels mismatched, like old pieces someone no longer wanted at home and decided to place in the apartment instead.
