Romantic country villa full of chickens, roosters, peacocks, dogs, cats, orange trees. In walking distance to Volubilis. Michelin star chef who owns facility that cooks you a fine dinner, if requested, which you should do. Great free breakfast. Everything fresh from the area. Homemade preserves, olive oil, bread, orange juice. House was previously owned by a French author and still has a lot of beautiful antiques inside. Fantastic hosts.

The wi-fi was not available in the house but considering the remoteness of this villa, it is completely understandable. A very small inconvenience. Put the phone down and enjoy the surroundings.

We booked due to the location without knowing the host, Azzeddine, is an accomplished chef. Had the best meal of our trip, while there. Azzeddine was wonderful to chat with, very friendly and interesting. Whole experience was amazing and the highlight of our time in Morocco. Loved that it's a working farm with lots of animals around. Location is incredible, only a 10 minute walk to Volubilis, which means you can easily get to the roman ruins when they open and avoid the tour bus groups.

The location was perfect for visiting the Roman ruins (10 mins walking). A lovely rural location. Looked after superbly and both the dinner and breakfast were lovely.

Great location walking distance from Volubilis. Quiet farm surrounding, loved the chickens milling around. The food is amazing. Walking to Moulay Idriss rom the farm. Need to stay 2 nights to really relax.

A Michelin starred chef at picturesque, historic farm house next to spectacular Roman ruins in UNESCO World Heritage site? Incredible, but true. This place is becoming an open secret among international foodies (already highly recommended in the French equivalent of the Lonely Planet), and I just feel lucky that we were able to stay there before it starts being booked up years in advance. Far and away the best meal we enjoyed in Morocco. Five courses, farm-fresh organic ingredients, imaginative blend of Moroccan and European flavors, portioned perfectly, presented beautifully, for about $20 per person. Host is charming, extremely generous, proficient in many languages, not least English, French and Dutch. Be sure to him about the history of the farm, the Roman spolia (repurposed building materials) incorporated into the garden, and the restaurant scene in Utrecht.

Staying in ferme Walila is a true awesome experience! Our host was wonderful and the house is beautiful in an amazing spot: few meters from volubilis! And on the top of that we had the best dinner ever, just perfect if you want to relax and connect with nature

The location is basically right next to Volubilis. But that ia not the best part (as I thought initially). The owner, the food he prepares in the restaurant there and the pleasure of an honest talk... these are unquantifiable...
