Moschee sooo nah😩Diese Bewertung bezieht sich nachfolgend auf das Standardzimmer: Bad/WC/Dusche etwa einen Meter breit und höchstens 3 Meter lang. Dunkler Schlauch, ungepflegt, wirkt schimmelig. Nein, wir sind nicht empfindlich, sondern sind monatelang unterwegs. Zimmer selbst ist ok. Aber wenn man draußen in den beiden Stühlen sitzen will, wird das schon minimalistisch eine Herausforderung. Gleich daneben die Coffeebar. In 50 cm davor die Beansäcke. Bettlaken hatte fetten Fleck ( altes Blut?) und Kissenbezüge fleckig; jedoch frisch gewaschen. Für zwei Personen sehr beengt, aber das wusste man ja schon bei Buchung. Bei uns war’s eine Notlösung. Das Zimmer selbst war ok. Aber es gibt 8 große Zimmer, die wirklich gut sind. Ja wir hatten halt Pech. Daher Augen auf welches Zimmer.

Location was good for walking to beach. 2 pools were also nice. Renovation under way and they are improving a lot so may be better with a little time.

There seem to be different areas, some are newly renovated which are in better condition. However, there are rooms with mice. The largest room above reception had mouse droppings on balcony and bedding when we arrived. Through the night heard one mouse around our floor for a while (sometimes this happens in this kind if location, so didn't mention to staff.). The next night we had to move room as the larger room was booked by someone else. In the middle of the afternoon we were in the room, we could hear a LOT of mice in the roof. There were several gaps in bathroom leading to outside, clear mice could come in. We listened to the family of scuttling for about 30 mins before asking reception to move us. They kindly did so straight away. That room was much better and clean. They had already plugged in an electric mouse device to try and discourage mice entering, so the staff must already be aware of this issue. Maybe they will sort this before you stay. If you do stay, I highly advise you stay in the bottom floor rooms as they seem to be better sealed and dont have this issue at all. Or the new built rooms.

Overall I had a decent stay at Ola Ola, but I feel like this place has a lot of potential but needs a bit of TLC. Aesthetically very beautiful, friendly staff, very close to Selong Belanak beach which is perfect for sunsets and beginner surfing. Two nice pools with bean bags which is great for chilling out. Easy to rent scooters. Some nice cafes and restaurants around. The room was basic and in need of a bit of love. But the team cleaned the rooms on request and bed was comfy.

I was disappointed on arrival as the “surf & yoga” branding describe online is really not reflected on site - no yoga classes available and for surf lessons you can contact the instructor yourself. This place really is more of a hotel than the camp vibe they claim to be. Breakfast options were limited and the restaurant was closed the rest of the day. This is definitely not a social place to stay, not ideal for solo travellers looking to meet new friends. The rooms was also very damp and humans on arrival with tons of mosquitoes. A little more attention to detail and this place could really be a great place to stay.
