Cashew Villa Hiriketiya

Very new, very clean and communication with the owner was excellent. He told us which station to get off the train, how much to pay the driver, good directions etc. We had fresh fruit, crepes, tea and coffee for breakfast at a reasonable extra price. The villa is up a tree lined path… you are staying in a home and outside the tourist zone (but still 5 minute walk down to the beach). A peaceful natural place- we saw peacocks, parrots and a monkeys who were very keen to help themselves to your breakfast so watch out for them!

We had a huge room, which was super clean! It also had a big private patio, and there were lines in the garden for drying towels/bikini etc.

It was super hot as some other reviews mentioned but we did expect this with it being a fan room. Perhaps it could have done with a slightly more powerful fan and then it would have been perfect!

Really enjoyed our stay here, Paba is so polite and friendly and looked after us very well. Our room was basic but modern and super clean! We had breakfast one morning and it was delicious, make sure you pre order the day before so Paba is aware :). Location is great, walking distance to all the lovely local spots and the beach! It is slightly set back than other places but we didn’t mind too much. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings watching the monkeys and peacocks go about their business. I would highly recommend

Worth mentioning there is no AC so for us Brits it was quite warm at night. The fan did just about enough to keep us cool at night though. A portion of the walk at night time back to the property is very dark so bring a torch/phone with you to light the way :) Completely faultless otherwise and again would certainly recommend!

The property is located on the hill, in a quiet area of Hiriketiya which means you can actually sleep at night because the noise from the parties doesn’t reach the place. While you are still really close to the beach and town. Just 5 minutes walk 🤩. The owner is very nice and they have a sweet dogs and a cat 🐈🐾

Leuke plek, aardige eigenaar en kregen een extra fan omdat het te warm was. Koude douche.

Het is een stukje lopen naar de accommodatie wat niet heel erg is maar het is heel donker en niet fijn om door de jungle te lopen in het donker. Er is geen airco en dat is echt veels te warm.

We had a great time in the cashew villa. The host is super friendly, it was very clean and i had a stable WiFi connection. The breakfast that he provides was delicious and cheap. If you are lucky you can spot some monkeys while eating it outside.I can really recommend!

You have to know that it get's quite hot inside the apartment but the host provides fans. A small lamp next to the bed would also be nice.

The place is wonderfull, extremely close to the beach and all the bars and restaurants! The staff is extremely kind and helpfull! Furthermore, the breakfast they serve is really good. So we really recommend this place!

Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, bequemes Bett, es kommen immer wieder 2 Hunde und eine katze vorbei die ebenfalls total lieb sind. Sehr leckeres frühstück, auch die ruhige Lage und das gezwitscher am Morgen ist super

Anfangs hatten wir bedenken, da es keine AC gibt aber wir haben dann einen 2. Ventilator bekommen und alles war gut

The host is great and the location is also excellent
