When I brought a group of 10 friends, amongst other rooms, I booked the 2 bedrooms unit for 2 separate couples friends, of which the listing description says there is air con. When one of the bedroom was found to have NO air con, it put me in a difficult position to decide which couple to allocate that room to, when other rooms has aircon. I hope the listing description can be updated accordingly for the benefit of future guests who might consider this particular 2 bedrooms unit. This has nothing to do with the hotel room designs in my home country. It was not helpful to suggest that we open the windows for the room with NO air con as we were bitten by mosquitoes in our rooms even with the windows closed. The suggestion by the host to simply open the windows will make matters worse as the host personally told us there is mosquitoes in the garden. As I can gather from the reactions from the host to some other less positive reviews from other guests, the host has often been rather defensive, sometimes in quite a sarcastic or nasty tone too, which is quite uncalled for. My purpose of my feedback is purely to note my observations for the benefit of future guests, so that they may know what to expect, especially during hot summer months.

Host allowed us to do self check in. There is ample private parking space at the accommodation. Host helped us to reserve dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Some of us were bitten by mosquitoes in our rooms, both on the first & second floor. Host didn’t quite believe us when we feedback to her, insisting there is mosquitoes only in the garden. None of us walked to the garden because it didn’t look inviting. The bathroom door in the suite is difficult to open & shut. We kind of have to lift the old heavy wooden door a little when we try to lock & unlock the door otherwise it scratches the floor. 2 couples in this 2 bedrooms suite shared this one huge bathroom. The suite is dimly lighted with old furnitures. We had a much better stay in beautiful Villa Vergenti Veronesi with excellent breakfast, room & service just before staying here, which does not provide breakfast & is definitely of less value for money for what it offers, in terms of rooms, service & general feel.

It was a suite with 2 bedrooms. However, one of the bedrooms does not have air con. The whole villa has a very old feel to it with old furnitures. Perhaps more suitable for guests who appreciate such deco. Going down half flight of steps to get to attached bathroom with slanted roof was not usual. The bathroom door opens at an awkward angle & there’s an old rocking chair in the bathroom. My couple friends who stayed in this double room didn’t feel very comfortable with it.

The room was nice and the garden was fantastic

The housekeeping staff does not know English so it was difficult to communicate. They were not polite either.

“Villa” is quite an overstatement for what is, a big old damp house that has been renovated keeping some old and worn pieces of furniture and doors. I was staying at the last floor, and the room was freezing. The bedding was suoer cold and the towel was damp. They don’t allow to keep the heating fan on during the day. It is strange that it has so good reviews. Better options in Pavia which is also much nicer.
