"Quiet, restful location, within easy reach of Amsterdam and nearby charming town of Edam"

Friendly owner, lovely quiet location, well located near a town for getting a bus to Amsterdam, and interesting landscapes around. Apartment was clean, comfortable and quiet.

The scenery was exceptional and the fresh air from the windows was great. Very friendly host. Overall a great stay, just a few minor issues.

The commute to the closest bus stop was about 25 minutes, so it was a bit difficult getting into town. You definitely need a bike or some form of transport for a longer stay. Lots of spiders above the entrance, which would be nice to get cleaned. Linen didn't fit the duvet and there were two duvets for the double bed (with one pillow each). Extra hidden costs which should have been stated in the description.

"The perfect place to relax in an idyllic setting"

We have fond memories of staying in this lovely holiday home, run by a pair of friendly hosts. The place is located in the countryside, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but is a good starting point for car trips to the surrounding cities (Amsterdam, Edam, Alkmaar) and bike trips. The house is very comfortable and tastefully furnished, and the rural surroundings - beautiful and idyllic.

"Lovely countryside stay"

Great location for different trips, easy accesible by car. We felt at home right away. Great kitchen equipment. Coffee and tea, salt, pepper and sugar also free to use. Really lovely farm surroundings, with rabbits jumping around every morning.

Astrid is a very polite host. The house has all comfort, space, cleanliness and everything needed for a nice holiday. The area is very quiet and nice. Location is perfect if you want to visit De Beemster, Amsterdam, Haarlem, Edam, Volendam, Marken. Can't recommend enough.

the host Astrid has been incredibly nice and helpful! the place was only booked for 4 but we brought an extra guest with us last minute and there was absolutely no problem. we’re super grateful!
