Pension Schmitt

Die Schmitt's sind einfach super lieb. Geben ihr Bestes für Ihre Gäste,in einem Alter wo viele schon im Ruhestand sind. Eine einfache Pension, für einige vielleicht etwas altbacken. Für uns absolut ausreichend,immer sehr sauber,das Boxspringbett neu und bequem. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit Terrasse,zwei bequeme Hochlehner mit Auflagen,ruhig und viel Sonnenschein. Das Frühstück war für uns ebenfalls ausreichend,Herr Schmitt bietet zusätzlich gekochte Eier,Spiegel,-oder Rühreier an. Es gibt außerdem einen Gästekühlschrank,in dem man persönliche Lebensmittel kühlen kann,oder gegen Bezahlung eine kleine Auswahl an Getränken erwerben kann. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Die Lage ist etwas abgelegen und es gibt leider im Ort keine Essensmöglichkeit. Da wir mit Motorrädern unterweg waren, war dies etwas umständlich.

Lovely setting in a small village. Free parking at front of property.Our bedroom had a comfortable bed with TV,table and chairs and en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet. Hairdryer , good WiFi . Lovely terrace at back of pension.There was a fridge near the breakfast room to buy beers,wine, water and apple schloer including alcohol free beer. Breakfast was bread rolls and bread with a selection of cold meats and cheeses,tomato and gherkins, plus scrambled,boiled or fried eggs freshly made to order. Great coffee. Our hosts were very welcoming.

This was the first stop of our honeymoon. The pension is located in a beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming town. The pension itself is lovely with balconies looking out at the nature surrounding it. Breakfast was always fresh and delicious, with fresh eggs, local bread and a selection of classic German wurst! The couple who run the pension are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, and they were more than happy to tell us about the surrounding area and where we could go during the day, leaving newspapers and brochures at our table at breakfast. When I asked Mrs. Schmitt about churches in the area, she sent him a thorough email about a few churches and they’re significance, and because of that we ended up having a lovely day in Fladungen that we would not have thought of otherwise! I would come back here again knowing Mr. and Mrs. Schmitt are so kind and eager to make our stay wonderful.

The only downside was that there is no air conditioning and it was pretty warm the week we went, but that is typical in Germany! We were still able to open the window doors to the balcony and get some cool air in at night.

Quiet location. Clean apartment. Friendly host. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Good value. Very small town, but there is a lovely town 10 km away for shopping and dinner.
