Château de Ré

The welcome, the hosts, the beautiful rooms and grounds, the pool, the tranquility. The facilitating of is when it was hot - offering a better room for the cooler option. It felt like a home, which it was, and we liked this.

Nothing. There isn’t a restaurant within walking distance, but we knew this when we booked so this was no issue for us.

Tout était parfait, la grande chambre avec sa salle de bain, le petit déjeuner dans la grande salle à manger dans un cadre tellement beau et au calme.

L’endroit est agréable et le couple très gentil mais quand nous sommes arrivés nous avons découvert qu’ils avaient loué la piscine à une soixantaine de personnes. Je n’avais jamais vu ça! Nous qui pensions passer un moment agréable en famille dans un endroit au calme après 3h30 de route! et ils n’ont même pas proposé un dédommagement sachant que le prix des chambres n’est pas donné.

Magnifique bâtisse et parc

La piscine avait été sous louée pour un anniversaire et elle était donc pleine de gens qui avaient installé une tente à côté de la piscine pour déjeuner et un bar de fortune. Il y avait beaucoup d’enfants, de bouées, un toboggan… Dommage car l’endroit est sublime mais pas possible de se détendre au calme. Les propriétaires - stressés par ce problème notoire - ont essayé de nous libérer deux transats et nous les en avons remercié, mais 50 personnes autour de la piscine normalement réservées pour les personnes qui séjournent au château… Dommage pour cette fois.

the cow poop smell was strong, the room was stuffy and we didn’t want to open the window at night because we had noticed the can of raid and the rat poison in the corner of the room.

Rustic and charming Chateau with a great pool area and close to some beautiful villages. Katrine is by far the most fun and nicest host you could ever wish for. She went out of her way to look after us. would highly recommend!

The location and property were stunning. The Host was very welcoming and helpful, she arranged a restaurant reservation for us in the nearby town which was beautiful! wish we could have stayed longer! we will definitely be back if visiting the area.

All was good, no complaints 😊
