Andrea was an exceptional host! He was very communicative and was able to communicate with him many times within just a minute or two. I love the architecture, the plants, the smallness of this boutique hotel.

Amazing ocean view from the bedroom and the rooftop area. Pool on the rooftop was beautiful. Owner gave lots of good recommendations for the island.

Aircon was not working properly

Very special place and the host couldn’t have been kinder or more accommodating. It’s a short walk to playa Norte. By far our favorite place to stay on the island.

Casa Alkimia was the perfect location for our 10-day honeymoon. Paradise beyond our expectations! Yes, we loved the busy beaches, amazing restaurants, all the happy cacophony of the north of the island, walking Hidalgo, just like everyone else. But when we returned to our room, it was just us, the ocean, the horizon, and the waves—no people or buildings in sight. Incredible beauty. Us in nature, whether on the balcony or on our bed. And the sunrises from balcony, sunsets on the patio or rooftop… Perfect stay in every way. Can’t wait to return! Thank you, Andrea!

The owner, Andrea, did take very good care of us. If needed anything he took a lot of time to give us detailed information about tours, restaurants and other things. Also, the property is right next to a beach and we were there during the season when the sea turtles lay their eggs. He explained to us that we couldn't walk through the big holes on the beach (where the eggs are) and during the night that we couldn't make videos or pictures with flash on. Really appreciate the effort and attention that is brought about to preserve the turtles. We could see them after sunset when they came onto the beach. Amazing experience! The room was also cleaned every day, the view is directly over the sea and the interior is simple but stylish!

Unless you book one of the rooms with either a private pool or beach acces there are no umbrellas to shield you from the sun when you want to sit facing the ocean.

We had a great stay here! The villa is quiet with a wonderful view from each room and several cool outdoor relaxation areas (including the plunge pool). It is about a 25 min walk into town but you can go along an oceanfront path that is lovely. We also went for a run along the ocean path in the other direction (towards Punta Sur). The villa has a modern and cool vibe, great coffee, shower, comfy bed etc. all as shown in the website photos. Would recommend - Thanks Andrea and Giovanni :) ;)

I had such a lovely stay at Casa Alkimia. Was traveling by myself, and thoroughly enjoyed the location, the most incredible view, and the hospitality. Andrea helped me with several cab drivers information to make it even easier for me to arrange transportation. I also had to leave my bag for several hours while I waited to join my family at another location, and again, Andrea was helpful and so quick to respond. The cleaning staff was also very kind. All of that and wonderful small touches (great toiletries), comfy, well appointed rooms, and good coffee in the morning. It was a dream to stay here
