Baan Phuvara Retreat - Romantic Jacuzzi Mountain View Villas

The location with mountain view was stunning and it was great to escape the hustle and bustle for a couple of days. The jacuzzi was a really nice touch and the staff were really helpful 😀

Breakfast was well presented and great to have on the balcony but was a luke warm and bland.

About 7 flights of massive steps to get to our room- incredibly difficult and we are very fit! Staff are REALLY unhelpful… they couldn’t even call us a cab. And they allowed a spa technician into our room after we specified that they weren’t to do it.

- the jacuzzi is nice but you’ll realistically only use it once - it’s quite a walk up to the room, if you forget something while going out you will regret it - quite expensive for what you get, I personally felt we got better value for money at Tonsai/Railay Beach. It is better for mainland excursions but then there are also nicer options available in Krabi Town

The villas are located on the slopes of a beautiful hill with an amazing view which you can enjoy from the balconies while in a hot tub. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable. The location is fine, close enough to the centre to reach there in some 15 min. or so but far enough to escape the crowd. The staff is kind and helpful.

- The breakfast is fine but it is exactly the same everyday. Moreover, after having told the staff I am vegetarian I kept receiving meat with my breakfast for three more days. - Communication with the staff is mostly via WhatsApp, if you want to have a digital detox during your holiday good luck, as you'll keep receiving exactly the same questions (when do you want breakfast/do you want your room cleaned) on your phone every day. The reception area is often empty. - We shared our room with geckos for a while. Not an issue for us but if you are afraid of bugs etc., think again about staying here. - The maid works until 2pm. Good luck if you spill something after that. - Definitely too expensive compared to other hotels around, giving me he quality/availability of service.
