I have stayed at La Vue for a number of times now. It is great value for money, it is always clean and the staff are lovely.

Dear Management, I would like to express my disappointment regarding our recent stay at La Vue Port Shepstone. We have stayed at numerous establishments over the years and rarely feel the need to submit a formal complaint. Unfortunately, our experience at your property fell well below what was advertised and what we expected. Firstly, both the Booking.com listing and the WhatsApp business profile reflected the address as 16 Marine Drive, Oslo Beach. After travelling and arriving in the area at approximately 20:00, we informed you via WhatsApp that we had reached the location. It was only then that we were advised that the accommodation was actually located at 1 King Haakon Road, Oslo Beach, Port Shepstone. Arriving at night and then having to locate a different address created unnecessary frustration and inconvenience, particularly as we had relied on the information provided on your platforms. Secondly, the standard of cleanliness was extremely concerning. The towels provided were not white as one would reasonably expect from freshly laundered linen, but rather cream-coloured and visibly aged. The bedding appeared similarly discoloured. Clean, fresh linen is a basic expectation of any accommodation establishment, and the condition of both the towels and bedding immediately raised concerns regarding overall cleanliness and maintenance standards. The combination of inaccurate location information and the condition of the linen left us feeling that the property did not reflect the standard presented online. As paying guests, we expected a comfortable and welcoming experience, but unfortunately our stay began with confusion and was further overshadowed by concerns regarding cleanliness. I trust that you will take this feedback seriously and review these issues to prevent future guests from having a similar experience.
