"Lovely hosts"

"Hospitable stop before ascending the Transfagarasan"

Incredible welcome by the host, like other travellers I was treated to a fantastic soup and a very nice breakfast. Konstantin had several helpful tips. The rooms are basic but spotless. There is a big kitchen and a nice yard to use. Was travelling on a bike; Căpăţîneni-Ungureni is the final village before the Transfagarasan when approaching from the South and IMHO the perfect stop prior to the ascent.

google was struggling with the location provided via booking.com. if you search for Pensiunea Denisa in google maps you will find it (essentially it is 250m due South from the Castelul Dracula tourist attraction on the minor road on the East bank of the Arges)

No facilities like hot water, personal towels, a spring mattress, small room, no conditioner. Country atmosphere, hospitable hosts :)
