Adonsonia Lodge is an amazing place to hang out. you will see elephants right next to the property. i did see lions, zebras and so much more. the food Aruna is doing is outstanding. game drives are okay.

so, this reserve has a lot of private properties where they are not allowed to drive,so you will see not so much of the reserve like in balule or maseke around or next to grietjie. for sightings, i would recommend you an other reserve, also manyeleti is quite good. to me personally, i did enjoy having time with their dog, but they both were a bit too grumpy and me a few things which were out of respect to me. after i did mention it, there was no respond or saying sorry for it. i have been in south africa since 6 weeks now, staying in many different places. and now, i know much nicer places with people acting more professionally. i made the experience in gritjie reserve that lodges like to gossip about each other and bring it over to the guest. which is not very professional. also like taking me on a game drive and than only talking in dutch or when i am self employed and running my own business telling me in the face i am in "a system", while they are in one by running a lodge in south africa, while both are not south african, or trying to sell me her handmade products to resell in my company. besides i create my own designs in a much higher quality and i would never other peoples products, only my own, she did not understand why me as a designer would never do just buy and resell. arguing with me i should buy the stuff. like nearly forcing, which made me quite uncomfortable in the situation.

The couple who runs the lodge were very kind and helpful.

Aruna was an amazing host, and the game drive with Michel was great.
