Olympic Mountains

The hospitality here is amazing, the hotel is run by such lovely, kind and genuine people. All the staff are super welcoming including the guy in the ski hire shop next door. Our room was traditional but comfortable and super warm, with a powerful hot shower. Conveniently located next to the ski lift, plenty of parking and a short walk into town and if that is too much trouble try one of delicious burgers, or the yummy vegetarian wrap on site.

The bed was not comfortable but we gained an extra duvet and slept on that which made the bed much more comfortable.

Great location directly opposite the ski lift. All the people working at the hotel are extremely friendly and helped us with ski hire, booking restaurants and local knowledge. Food and drink in hotel bar is good and well priced. The village is 10 minute walk and has several good restaurants, shops etc. Skiing area is extensive but not ideal for beginners. Will definitely be back.

All the staff made us feel so welcome. Lorenzo and his team are genuinely happy to help with anything you need. The wonderful lady who does the breakfast service is a delight - bravo!

Nothing - this is not luxury accommodation but it is comfortable and has all that you need.

I cannot actually review Olympic Mountains because, for understandable reasons, the owner had temporarily closed it. We were offered a room for the same price at the sister hotel, Hotel Gardens, so, with only 2 days’ notice and the fact that we were already travelling in Europe, we took this offer. What did we like? We had a room for the night.

Renovations in Hotel Gardens were only part complete, including in the room we were given. There was no menu for dinner and, as we speak no Italian (which is our problem) the verbal description was impossible to understand. We were helped by locals. The food however was poor. We left most of it. Breakfast was a very limited choice of not particularly enticing bits and pieces, but edible. This relates to Olympic Mountains because this is the restaurant used by both hotels. What we really disliked was that the owner charged the full price we had prepayed for Olympic Mountains and it turned out to be the most expensive, and poorest, of our 12 hotels on a 25 day tour of Europe. Not impressed with the value for money - particularly not impressed with the food and that our room still needed work done to it.

The staff is very friendly, accomodating and flexible. We had to change our dates twice and they were very happy to do so for us. The location cannot be any better, literally right next to two key ski lifts, one that takes you to Via Lattea in Italy and the other towards Montgenevre in France. Highly recommended! Top!

The rooms could do with some additional sound proofing. It's wasn't bad but just a tiny detail. We still slept very well.

It's been a few years since we stayed here. Things have improved by the possibility to add inexpensive half board (to be taken at the sister hotel) if you wish for a half board option. If your main interest is the skiing, then the position could not be better right next to two ski lifts (one to Claviere side and the other to Sauze/Sestriere side). Also there is a Skiset ski hire shop on site. There is a small Spa shop about 400 metres away for your snacks/drinks for the room. The hotel also has a bar and offers light meals through the day. There are not a lots of rooms, and all appear to be on the ground floor. We were told to leave our skis outside the room (as there is no ski room) and to put our ski boots on the drip mat inside our room. There is also the option of hiring a locker at the on site ski hire shop. Breakfast is continental style and coffee/tea is served at your table. Staff speak English and we found them all to be helpful and friendly.

Our room was small but well appointed for a budget hotel.
