Proximity to train and busses was perfect. We even walked home from the old city

I wasn’t aware that the toilet facilities were shared snd not private

It was clean and the hosts were polite, letting us drip our bags earlier than officially agreed. The beds were ok.

The shower mixer switch was broken, but luckily we managed to use the handle. They could improve the check-in instructions. It could be a bit confusing on how to enter the main door and where to go inside the apartment, because it is basically a shared apartment, you rent it with other guests. They could improve the tourist tax collection method, because right now it is cash only, but I guess this is common in Italy

1. communication with the host – they require you to use a third-party platform and if you don't use it, you won't receive key information about your stay (such as how to get to the apartment) during the self-check in process. the host just kept sending automatic messages on Booking (including a goodbye message before our actual arrival). moreover, our individual needs that were communicated 1.5 month in advance while booking the place were not addressed and we had to find an alternative solution ourselves. 2. this 'non-hotel' is basically a shared flat – some fellow guests were louder than the others, there was only 1 knife in the kitchen and we as a group of 3 adults got only approx. 50 % of a single toilet paper roll. 3. room – approximately 18m2 room packed with 2 double beds doesn't leave much living space. The window can't be open for ventilation, so we had to sleep with fully open window.
