The host was very kind and responsive throughout our stay and even helped pick us up from Via Statale with our luggage, since we did not have a car. If you enjoy cats, there are a few friendly felines who greet you sometimes in the yard. The location, the price, and the inclusion of the kitchenette with a fridge and freezer make this an exceptional deal. Besides the neighborhood church bell, which rings every half hour between 7am-11pm each day, the location was very peaceful. You can walk down some stairs and reach Via Statale/Via Regina in about 5-7 minutes, where the C110 bus stop, mini grocery store, and restaurants/bars are located. The Canedabbia ferry was out of operation when we visited, but normally the dock would be there as well. There is also a good pizzeria two minutes walking away, if you do not want to go all the way down to eat. We did not try the breakfast but the host can also bring you breakfast for a small fee as well if you let her know ahead of time. I am very happy we did not choose to live in a hotel on Via Statale, where you can smell car exhaust and hear traffic when you open your window. Here, you can enjoy fresh air, quiet, and flowers. My only note of caution is that if you have mobility/walking problems AND you do not have a car, the incline going up from Via Statale to the house should be considered. Like many properties in the area, there is no AC. It was exceptionally hot during our stay, and the host provided a fan. As long as we kept the shutters closed and lights off during the day while we were out, the room stayed reasonably cool.

The host couple are very nice and helpful. The room is big, clean with mountain views. It's located in a quiet residential area, but lots of nature sounds.

The location is a little further away from the main road on a hill, not suitable if you come by foot with lots of luggage. Close to a church, so you will hear church bells all the time.

Nous n'avons pas pris le petit déjeuner. L'emplacement était idéal dans un petit village sur les hauteurs du lac de Côme. Possibilité de se garer facilement dans la rue ce qui est très appréciable. Michela est une hôte discrète et très sympathique , toujours à l'écoute et qui a pris le temps de nous donner (en français !) de nombreux renseignements et conseils sur les sites à visiter autour du lac .
