"De service en sfeer zijn van heel hoog niveau!"

Het persoonlijke ontvangst van de gastvrouw Valentina was echt buitengewoon goed. Ze heeft ons alles toegelicht wat de kamer betreft en op een kaart de highlights van Matera uitgestippeld. Dit was super handig, want wij verbleven maar één nacht in deze prachtige stad. Daarnaast had ze ons bij aankomst ook direct geholpen met een diner reservering. Wij verbleven in een prachtige grotkamer (cave room), welke een absolute aanrader is. ‘s Avonds werd er vanuit de gastvrouw en -heer een aperitief georganiseerd samen met de andere gasten. Dit was een hele gezellig en persoonlijke touch aan het verblijf. Vanaf dit appartement heb je echt het mooiste uitzicht over de Sassi di Matera en alles is op loopafstand.

Everything! All the reviews are correct - this is an amazing place to stay 😊 the views are magical, the rooms are lovely and Valentina is an incredible host with attention to detail. The cocktail sunset hour is a very nice touch.

Bellissima esperienza all'interno del "sasso" di Matera. La struttura si articola in varie camere all'interno di un giardino con scalette e muretti affacciati su un panorama tra i più belli di Matera. La vista dal cortile è assolutamente fantastica! L'arredamento è molto bello, il letto comodo ed il bagno pulito e funzionale. I giovani proprietari sono simpatici e disponibili.

Si tratta di una esperienza che rifarei volentieri. Però devo dire che la mia anziana schiena ha risentito un po' dell'umidità, umidità che nonostante il deumidificatore a partire da una certa età potrebbe farsi sentire. Ovviamente questa è una caratteristica che accomuna più o meno tutti i vecchi sassi della città.

Valentina made my birthday truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, she went out of her way to make everything feel special and welcoming. The place itself is absolutely amazing — peaceful, beautifully kept, and with such a relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect setting to celebrate and recharge. I would definitely love to come back, not only for the stunning surroundings but also for the kindness and care that made my stay so memorable.

I only wish I had booked a longer stay!
