Maria was a great host, and we really enjoyed our stay! You can tell she takes great care of the place, leaving everything well-prepared for her guests. We had everything we needed, from toiletries to an ironing board, and she even left some thoughtful treats for us. The location is fantastic, with easy access to the city center, transportation, and nearby cafés.

The only things that could be improved are the shower pressure, and we wished the fridge would stay on even when leaving the property.

The location was pretty good, maybe 10 minutes walking to Piazza del Duomo. Many good restaurants nearby and even a cafe 3 minutes from the accommodation where tourists can eat gelato, granita, pastries, pizza, paninis, coffee and many more at decent prices. Bus station nearby so overall the location was pretty convenient. However to get to the center you have to go through a sketchy neighborhood with many weird people i can say:)

Honestly i give it a seven because we had problems with the shower: keep in mind when booking that you only have the shower over your head and the water pressure is not the best:/ the shower cabin doors are not closing fully and there was no holder for the toilet paper. another thing we definitely didn’t like was the slow fridge. we had bought some cream cheese and ham to make sandwiches for the next morning and believe me when i say the ham was smelling so badly after just one day there and the water isn’t cooling off almost at all in that fridge…also, keep in mind that if you visit Catania in july-august you need a GOOD AND POWERFUL air conditioner. for us it was so slow compared to the heat outside even though it was on 16 degrees.

The Host is very helpfull and kind he gave us some good sugestions and left us some snacks 😊also the Location is Great.The Room had all the things you need for a short stay. For the price I would totally recomend this place for a short stay😊

There was no window only the front door on the 1-st floor also when you leave the room the electricity went off so you couldnt leave anything on the fridge because it wont last.

The main issue for us was not proper cleaning, bad shower draining, no soundproof at all, wet clothes hanged just above our room's door. The district is looking not safe. And Catania itself is very dirty. We moved to Taormina, even we paid for 5 nights and used only 3. No refund for cancellation. By the way, there is no reception. We arrived and searched for someone to keep our luggage as we agreed before, and it was a little bit uncomfortable to knock the doors of other tourists to get help where is the host or someone main there.

Missing window, first floor apartment.

Location was perfect, 10minutes to Doumo area, 5 minutes to central station. Maria was amazing, she explained everything and waited us with cold water and snacks as we reached earlier and she was still preparing the room. The room was clean, AC and wifi were working perfect, bed and pillows comfortable. There are toiletries, iron, hair drier, cutlery, glasses, mugs, kettle, tea coffee. We didn't need anything else. The room and bathroom were spacious. Owner Andrea was checking on us and asking if we need something, communication was online, it was very kind from their side. Room was on ground floor, there are no windows but there is enough sun light coming from the door glass. Also we were greatful for the late check out. There is a local pizzeria near accomodation, groceries shops, travel agencies and you can do most of the tourist attractions walking distance. We used lemontours located 5 min from the accomodation for the day trips to Taormina, siracusa, Etna and we were very happy. It was a great vacation.

Everything was perfect, the room was comfortable and safe. There is a smell on the street coming from the garbage piles but its municipality issues, the situation it's the same on all the streets and owner apologized for the situation, not their fault.
