Residence La Canonica

A queit place at 1000m, situated inside parish, very clean, big kitchen, all new and modern! There is a bread shop, bar and restaurant near by. If you love mountain and need some quiet time it is perfect!

The residence is pretty modern, and clean. The rooms are big and super comfy.

If you’re getting from Lago di Como, the ride is a little long, I won’t recommend to do it late at night also cause the view is stunning!

I had a bright, spacious room with a stunning view over the valley and the village. The room was adequately heated for chilly nights up in the mountains. Bathroom was clean. Kitchen was modern and fully equipped. Location is reachable by bus, but only if you do your research as the timetable is extremely limited.

It is a bit tricky to find the exact location.

Best place if you are looking for a chill stay and visiting Como lake and Bergamo. Only one hour from Varenna by car and 45 minutes to Bergamo (if you are not afraid of driving on narrow mountain roads. We loved it!) We spent a night in the double room and it was the cleanest house we have ever seen. They have a proper big Italian kitchen, well equipped to share with other guests. The views are stunning and the check in and communication with the host is incredibly easy. The pizza restaurant next to the house has some serious wines and delicious calzones.
