Se cercate un soggiorno all’insegna del surreale, questo è il posto giusto. Ho prenotato un appartamento con due camere da letto, ma al check-in (telefonico, ovviamente, perché incontrare il gestore di persona sembra un privilegio raro) ci è stato detto che per due persone “basta e avanza una camera matrimoniale”. Peccato che Booking avesse confermato l’intero appartamento. La logica della struttura è semplice: se sei in due, per forza sei marito e moglie, e quindi a cosa serve la seconda stanza? Una filosofia degna di Kafka. Tanto per rendere tutto più interessante, la seconda camera era chiusa a chiave, rendendo chiaro fin da subito che “l’ospitalità creativa” aveva i suoi limiti. Le lenzuola erano di un tessuto così pesante e ruvido che sembrava un peeling notturno incluso nel prezzo. Gli asciugamani, invece, erano profumati… di fumo di sigaretta. Per il check-in abbiamo avuto istruzioni via telefono su come entrare e sulle dotazioni: un’esperienza che definire smart è un eufemismo. La colazione? Un piccolo capolavoro di “ospitalità creativa”. Il gestore ci ha detto che sarebbe bastato aprire la finestra: in questo modo avrebbe capito che eravamo sveglie e ce l’avrebbe portata. Tipo servizio spionistico. Peccato che alle 8 non si fosse visto nulla e siamo state costrette a telefonare. A quel punto la risposta è stata che ci volevano 10 minuti di strada per arrivare: chissà quindi da dove spiava la finestra… Alla fine sono arrivate due brioche confezionate (senza ingredienti, scadenza o allergeni… tanto chi vuole saperlo?), un cappuccino e un latte di mandorla serviti in bicchieri di plastica, entrambi già versati senza alcuna indicazione sulla provenienza o sicurezza alimentare. Insomma, le norme sugli alimenti sembrano un concetto sconosciuto.

Good value for money compared to other properties in the area; easy self check in and out; friendly staff; very clean; looked recently refurbished; fully stocked with hot water, toiletries, fridge and complimentary water.

Small but enough for one person, perhaps not two; not very comfortable to sleep in because there is not soundproofing, the a/c blows directly into the beds so it’s either too cold or too hot; too much light coming both from the numerous garden lights through the window above the door and from the emergency exit sign inside the room; could smell other guests’ cigarette smoke through the door.

The location was ideal for my needs the owner was helpful and friendly, the accommodation was cool clean and adequate for my requirements.

The mother of the host was lovely.

Dogs around, car parking available inside but not allowed to use, I was forced to leave the car outside in the main road. FAR from the beach. No privacy, the owner and the parents live inside the same villa. Water pressure in the shower was low. Ants around the house as well (check pictures). I had an issue with booking regarding the reservation. I supposed to check in with 2 people but in the end it was just me. The host’s mother assured me and asked me to contact booking and find support with them. Booking was super helpful and requested the host to changed the number of people but the host (the daughter of the lady who recommended me to contact booking directly) refused to make any changes because she didn’t want to do it as it wasn’t her responsibility. Even Booking’s advisor was shocked and told me it was the first time for him to hear something like that. NO SUPPORT AT ALL.
