We loved everything! Claudio and Maddalena were super hosts. Welcoming, friendly, responsive, and lovely people, with a desire to serve. Grazie mille, Claudio and Maddalena! Having booked a room and arriving last minute on a Sunday evening, we had to call Claudio to gain access to the rooms and facility. Claudio showed up minutes later and assisted us with our luggage up to the rooms. We asked about a terrace room, and Claudio accommodated us, as the original booking was not for a room with a terrace - be sure to inquire ahead of time. Luckily there were few guests during this midweek visit in late April, and we were given the lilac room (all rooms have a color theme and are exquisitely decorated and immaculately clean). The terrace was large, including two sunning lounges and a table and chairs, at which we enjoyed peaceful evenings drinking wine and eating local pesto, pomodoro, olives, cheese, and breads, making for an incredibly peaceful, fulfilling, and relaxing stay. The location is just a five minute walk up the hill at the far end of town close to the train station. The multi-storied house, of which Claudio's place occupies the third floor, is in a canyon, protected from the sounds of the main street a quarter mile below. The scenery is outstanding, rich in birdsong and the sweet fragrance of many blossoming lemon trees surrounding the property. The views were nothing short of fantastic! We recommend also adding in the breakfast, which was fresh and delicious and provided at an excellent price and value. Claudio is a wonderful barista, keeping the cups filled upon desire. Monterosso is a wonderful and welcoming town. Rent a two lounge beach umbrella station at the base of the hill going up to the B&B. Swim in the Ligurian Sea. Make the hike from Monterosso to Vernazza, and beyond, if you're feeling inspired.

We did not like that our time in Monterosso at Marvit Affitacamere was so short. We will be back to stay a week or more next time. :-)
