Très bel endroit exceptionnel

This is a traditional classical house with a history of 100 years. The owner was the local land lord and even had a shrine beside the house. The garden is terrific and rooms are big. Although the train stop is 30 minutes from the house, the bus stop to Nara Park is only 3 minutes, near a convenient shop.

I really enjoyed the traditional Japanese home and space. I also enjoyed the host, Jerome, showing me the garden and allowing me to pick vegetables with him to cook. The place is well stocked with needed amenities, and the host did a great job explaining how it all works. Next time I'm in Japan I will try to come back to Nara just to stay here!

La chambre, qui est en réalité un appartement sur un étage entier, est magnifique, avec vue sur le jardin japonais et la forêt de bambou. C'est une expérience unique de sejourner dans une demeure traditionnelle d'une beauté exceptionnelle. Jérôme nous a bien accueilli et propose aussi des visites guidées. Nous avons fait un tour très intéressant à Tenri, lieu exceptionnel et peu fréquenté par les touristes, et fait une dégustation de saké également. La villa n'est pas au centre ville mais on accède rapidement au parc avec les temoles et les daims avec un bus (arrêt juste à côté)

Le manque de climatisation dans les toilettes, mais en même temps c'était la canicule en plein mois de juillet

Jerome and Hana are super chill and friendly hosts, we feel very welcomed in their home :) We also enjoyed helping them with gardening and also the dinner with their garden volunteers!

This property had everything we needed. It was comfortable and quiet. The hosts were friendly and helpful. They really made us feel welcome in their home. They shared their time and their knowledge and experiences as well as tasty treats from their garden. We loved the layout of the house and the gardens, as well as the views of the city and the hills beyond.

We couldn't have asked for more.

Gorgeous property beautifully decorated with an admirable purpose. Very, very helpful and communicative hosts. Stunning amount of room. Very quiet and dark for fabulous night's rest. Rustic building but all the best amenities -- full kitchen, washer, excellent air and heating, great water pressure, strong wifi. Jerome picked fresh salad greens for us that were amazing. We are savvy Japan travelers so took the bus all over and walked extensively. Very EASY to get back and forth to Nara on bus. (We did not have a car.) Need to plan for food and bring in to cook/picnic. Not too many restaurants nearby, but that did not impede us at all. Will recommend to friends and would love to come back. Exceptional experience!
