The character of the property. Beautiful light in the morning and sunsets, the suite is generous size , and when we entered it was nice and warm, really comfortable bed, nice big shower. We also liked that it doesn't have a TV

Lovely, comfortable accommodation in a great location, with easy street parking close by. The host Sabrina was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were outstanding, with lots of local products and home cooked cakes. We had a very good stay.

Unser Aufenthalt war von Beginn bis zum Ende ein Traum. Monforte ist ein wunderschönes Städtchen, und die Unterkunft ist sehr gut gelegen. Die Unterstützung seitens der Unterkunft war jederzeit verfügbar und sehr freundlich. Die Parkplatzsituation ist ideal, und es entstehen keine Zusatzkosten. Das Frühstück war wunderbar und wir zum gewünschten Zeitpunkt bereitgestellt. Die Betten waren sehr bequem.

Wie oben beschrieben hat uns alles ausnahmslos gefallen. Hier ein paar Informationen für andere Reisende; - für Personen, die körperlich nicht sehr mobil sind, ist die Unterkunft nicht ideal, da die Zimmer teils über eine steile und enge Treppe erreicht werden - ich persönlich hätte mich darüber gefreut, wenn es auf Anfrage beim Frühstück Eierspeisen gegeben hätte - die Suite il Guidice ist wunderschön, es ist jedoch wichtig zu wissen, dass das Badezimmer im unteren Stockwerk gelegen ist (das ist jedoch aus den Informationen klar ersichtlich), auch ist die Suite ziemlich feucht

The Forno in Palazzo d’Assi provides charming, characterful and comfortable accommodation in the heart of Monforte d’Alba at an excellent price. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend it strongly. The views from Monforte on a sunny day across the Langhe to the Alps are breathtaking and the walks through the vineyards of Barolo enchanting. Our host provided outstanding and friendly care and support throughout our stay, with precise easy-to-follow arrival instructions.

We liked it but there are key points of which new clients need to be aware before booking: 1. Monforte is a beautiful medieval fortified hill town with very steep cobbled streets. It is not well suited for people with impaired mobility. 2. Il Forno has a narrow and steep staircase, again unsuited to the unfit.

Living in an old house with modern equipment is a beautiful combination. Especially if you open the windows for a view across the Barolo vineyards. The place is very quiet although in the center of Montforte and walking distance to plenty good restaurants.
