One of the best stays of our lives. The setting doesn't even feel real and the whole family are incredible. Easy to do activities, have food, just amazing. Would recommend to anyone. HUGE ROOMS too. Private. Lovely.

Moeilijk bereikbaar, maar evengoed meer dan de moeite waard

Il mio soggiorno al GumuBali Villa è stato semplicemente perfetto. La villa è un’oasi di pace, immersa tra risaie e natura, con una vista mozzafiato e un’atmosfera autentica e raffinata. Il cibo era eccellente, preparato con cura solo per me e servito direttamente in camera — un’esperienza davvero speciale. I proprietari sono persone splendide, gentili e premurose, sempre pronti a rendere il soggiorno indimenticabile. Inoltre, da qui si può raggiungere facilmente a piedi Tirtaganga, il tempio con i giardini acquatici più belli di Bali, con una passeggiata piacevole tra i campi. Un luogo che consiglio di cuore a chi cerca tranquillità, bellezza e autenticità.

Die Gastgeberfamilie ist wirklich sehr nett und hat unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz besonderem gemacht. Jegliche Fahrten für Ausflüge und Transfers von unserer letzten und zur nächsten Unterkunft hat der Gastgeber selbst für uns gemacht. Dabei sind immer sehr nette Gespräche entstanden und wir haben viel über die Gegend und die lokale Kultur gelernt. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön in den Reisfeldern gelegen und bietet die Möglichkeit für Einblicke in das Leben der dort lebenden Menschen und für kleine oder größere Wanderungen in der Natur. Die Tochter des Gastgebers hat eine kleine Wanderung mit uns gemacht und uns dabei einiges über die Landwirtschaft und die Religion der Bevölkerung erzählt. Das war sehr interessant! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist super. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers ist völlig ausreichend und zusätzlich gibt es die Gartenanlage, Dachterrasse und den Pool zum Aufenthalt.

Trotz der tollen Gastgeberschaft gibt es auch einige Dinge, die uns nicht so gut gefallen haben und die auch als Anregung für Verbesserung dienen sollen. Leider ist das Wasser im Waschbecken überhaupt nicht abgelaufen, da es wohl verstopft war. Trotz unseres Hinweises wurde das Problem leider nicht behoben. Die Vorhänge sollten dringend mal gewaschen werden. Nachdem wir in der Unterkunft das Abendessen gegessen haben, hat es uns leider mit Magenproblemen erwischt. Das Essen war auch kalt gewesen und stand vielleicht schon länger rum.

- The host and his family are adorable and really welcoming, it is a pleasure to meet them and they make you feel at home ❤️ - The house is beautiful, even more than on the photos we felt and the surroudings are magnificent 🤩 - They have a « menu » with meals / breakfast / tours informations + prices are very reasonable. Ask them for the menu in advance so you can plan easily your journey there ! 🤌 - The path on the way to the house is a bit small but it is not a worry as Made and his family help you out with your luggage 🙏

Unfortunately we already planned all our stay before coming so we did not fully enjoy the available tours 😏

Fantastic host family! Great local food, always there to help with any questions. Do the hike through the rice fields to Tirta Gangga, just be prepared to walk barefoot some part of the way - great to cool down your feet in the grass and water streams! Get up early to see Mt Agung during the sunrise from the roof top.
