Petrino

Petrino is in an authentic greek montain village, the most central tavern and mini hotel right next to the church.and the main square. It is a lovable place with the best, most supportive staff we have ever seen. It is a spiritual joirney to be there.

It’s possible when some people read this review they could think that this is another snob who likes nothing, but this is not the case, I gave scores 9 and 10 score for all the properties I visited in greece, and I usually stay in humble places, but Petrino stood out as a very bad experience, to put things in perspective, Petrino is a good restaurent with 3 rooms on the top of the restaurent, so the owner could be running a good restaurent, but he knows nothing about hotels industry, we arrived and we were met by the waiters who couldn’t speak a single word in English, and after some gestures they understood that we want the key, hence, they gave us the key without checking any identity, we went to the room and found it dirty with bread crumbs inside the toaster, spiderweb on the window’s shutter, and bad smell in the room, the toilet smelled like public toilets, the shower booth was small that I couldn’t fit into it, the beds are small and uncomfortable, the only small AC in the huge room was defective and noisy, so we spent the night sweating, the real nightmare began at night as we woke up to the sound of a very noisy cricket inside the room, I managed to find it and had to kill it to get some sleep, then we started hearing another one inside the wooden ceiling, we managed to sleep despite the loud sound, but around 5:30 AM I woke to the sound of a third one in the bathroom and concluded that the wooden ceiling is infested with insects, so I decided to go out to the balcony, which we didn’t use because of the grilling smell from the restaurent underneath which reached the corridor outside our room, and because they washed the floor at night, the smell of grease filled the air at 5:30 in the morning, to add to the situation, there was a very angry dog at a construction site just few meters opposite to the balcony, and after the dog stopped barking I was attacked by angry bees who must have came because of the dirty restaurent, to add to the situation, the...

The apartment is fit for royalty. It has the same charm and beauty as the old quaint village where it is located. The restaurant offers a variety of delicious foods. The parking is at the entrance to the village, which is understandable. You should follow GPS instructions to the parking, not the village.
