Bathroom was neat and clean

Location is great. Room was comfortable. Host thought of all the small detail. Breakfast is basic cereal but the price does not warrant more. Tea and coffee and milk are available. Lovely stay

Everything was as said to be, very content with everything and the welcome. Very lovely place, wonderful views.. it's more of a perfect getaway from the busyness of day to day life.

Location, price, availability, owner ensured that all was in order, confirmed availability, payment transferred to owner's account, contacted and verified. On arrival, meet and greet was very casual, owner explained in detail what the stay entailed, with coffee, tea, sugar and porridge available. Layout ensured 360⁰ vision, with mountain, largest part of town, as well as seaview from room windows and balcony. We appreciated the fact that the accommodation was smoking free, rustic furniture in mint condition, combined with all modern electrical amenities. Did not need an air-conditioned room as a breeze ensured cool air and continued smell from sea as wind direction changed. Approval by owner when enquiring about use of other facilities to prepare food was granted as we were going to use open fire and had to be very cautious about the danger and all precautions taken to prevent any fire hazard occurring. The place was found cleaned and well serviced. The tranquility was extra and sound of passing vehicles passing by dampened from the opposite side. We can definitely recommend Avondsrus Guesthouse for a breakaway, in our case, longer breakaway.
