You really need a car or a driver (or a tuk tuk) to get to and from this property.

Nice exterior facilities. The pool is very nice, also to hang out by. Food is served outside on a big nice terrace. Staff is very friendly and organises everything for you (safari, transport etc.). For two nights, to do the full day safari it is a good stay.

The bathroom smelled very bad. There were also a lot of insects - which of course is natural so far out of town near the lake - but we had a whole street of our ants suddenly in the room and there was no mosquito net over the bed.

This accommodation is located beside the lake at the end of a quite long and narrow road so it is very quiet and peaceful. There are six double - triple rooms in two separate buildings, each with its outdoor covered dining and relaxation area with views of the lake. We enjoyed the clean pool and lovely garden and environment. Breakfasts were continental with omelettes, toast, fruit and fruit juice. We were able to also have some Sri Lankan breakfast food when it was served to local visitors. Dinner was included - great because you are far from any restaurants - and it was voted number two of the best of 23 dinners we had in the country. The rooms [ we had three] were clean, well equipped with furniture, and comfortable. The bathroom was as clean as any similar accommodation in Sri Lanka which is to say that the washbasin, shower and toilet were really clean however cleaning around the edges of bottom of walls etc could be improved. The staff were always approachable, helpful and focused on service, providing extra services such as washing clothes for us and keeping medicines in their fridge. Value for money for this level of accommodation. We enjoyed our stay.

We needed a fridge however that should not be expected in this type of budget accommodation. Staff obliged by sharing their fridge and then hurried after us by motorbike when we forgot to take out our medicines when we left. Note: not a criticism. Driver accommodation is not available here.

We loved that there was a swimmingpool and a beautiful view over the lake

There was a lot of mold and the whole bathroom smelled like it. Would’ve loved to have a mosquito net over the bed.

The best hotel I have ever stayed in Sri Lanka. Everything was amazing!!! Highly Recommended!!!

You can enjoy the freshest and tastiest lake fish at this hotel. The pool is amazing, the rooms are nice, and the safari experience is fantastic!
